I think for the colour issue it's because it's all kind of the same value. The wood and the pastel colours and the white sort of blend together. If you want colour I think you need something a bit deeper. Like jewel tones or something. Or lean into that earthy vibe and go with greens as an accent color. That green flower pillow went well with the rest of the setup! Great apartment. So dreamy!

One idea for your vanity - Place it perpendicular to the wall, so that when you're sitting at it, your back is facing the closet. This sounds kind of weird but if you added another "divider" (like a shelf, or actual divider) it creates separation between your work space + glam station. And adding the divider would also keep the vanity's messiness out of view when you're working!

I also used to have my setup in the basement/my room, and at the time I LOVED rgb because of the colour it brought to such a darker space. Now I have my setup in a room that gets a LOT of natural sunlight (very similar to the light you actually get now in the loft!) and I find that I'm not a massive fan of the bright, rgb colours anymore. So it's def. not in your head!! I was in the exact same boat as you a few months ago. I think going for a more natural look with your setup will definitely be the way to go!

For the computer area, you can use shades of pinks and lavenders in build with that aesthetic. It can flow cohesively with the wood 😉

Maybe consider placing the desk directly in front of the window, so it doesn't feel like everything is just pushed against the same wall! also it makes it look less weirdly long or "corridory" if that makes sense

my only issue with that is it gets SO. HOT. and I'm scared of the sun just cooking the back of my monjtor / PC 😭 I'd love to try it tho and just see, maybe in these gloomier months 😆

I absolutely love it! text is nice and clear for me too. I had the alienware 34" non OLED right before this and altho I miss the size sometimes, this is soo fun and immersive in games and overall a great monjtor for me! do you not like the alienware or find the text crisp??

it's a programmable macro pad from aliexpress! I have my exact one linked on my liinks url. if you do end up getting it you gotta google "VIA app" (it's a website) to program all of the buttons! I've had mine for years and love it
