I found the trick with the router is to cut in stages. I made the mistake of trying to cut the full depth in all at once and found that the battery powered trim router just couldn’t cope. So I started in stages routing a little at a time. Each time making the cut deeper until finally I got through to the final depth desired.

You just need to unscrew the mechanism (the feet)! But be sure to read the manual to avoid unscrewing the wrong parts!

Really nice makeover! But I would highly advise to sand and prime your ikea furniture before painting to make sure your paint sticks and doesn't get ruined easily :)

A lot of paints in Germany are made for laminate furniture (because of how common it is) so minimal to no sanding required 🤗

I really like the yellow color on the wall cabinets. I don’t want to ruin the fun, but shouldn’t you sand down the surface with sandpaper and use some adhesion primer to make the paint stick properly? Is it still holding up? Inspiring video, great job! I quess what i write above dont matter. What matters is doing something special for your loved ones. Thats whats matter in the end.
