Great Tutorial!!! One small thing though: note everyone is from Texas - so pleeeeeease lower the music volume! You have such a great voice.. 🙂

DANG! I'm so sorry! I usually try and keep it low, will definintely bring it down for the next one :) Thanks so much for watching, Carsten!

Great tutorial Mallory :) But I have to agree with a commentar - you have such a beautiful voice, which is easy to understand like a non native English person like me. Instead of lowering the volume in your next tutorial, I would vote for no music at all in your next tutorial videos. Just a feedback from one of your subs :) Btw - congrats on 1k subs!!! Hope you also already have the 4k watch hours to get monetized :)

Great feedback!!! I will leave the music out entirely for the next one :) Thanks as always for coming back for more content!

Nice final image. I don't do much MY/Landscape work but it's something I'd like to get into. Just need darker skies than my B5 backyard. I really should plan a Big Bend trip.

Thank you for watching!! You’re right, Bortle 5 is tough… Big Bend has some of the darkest skies in the world! Can’t recommend enough!

Great lesson! As others mentioned, you have a good voice and pace. Keep on doing! I liked the hint that on removing the color noise you also remove the color of the stars! 😊

Thanks so much! I would love to do more of these with some advanced techniques and post-processing but weather in Texas has been absolutely GARBAGE this summer!! Here's hoping for clear skies where you are :)

Fantastic video Mallory, thank you for all your valuable tips, I'm going to try them on my Milky Way photos. I unfortunately live in an area close to Jodrell Bank telescope in Cheshire UK that is B3, but I can find B4 if I drive further away from the towns. Looking forwards to more of your video's, please could you do a few more editing tutorial's.🌌

Thanks so much, Miguel!! Hopefully you picked up a thing or two :) I hate that for you... but hopefully you will have a chance to get somewhere dark with clear skies this summer!

Innnnteresting: You did the edits in LRC before sending to StarryStacker. I always did this the other way around: Combine in StarryStacker then do the edits in LRC. I will have to try your way now.

I really don't know that it makes a big difference, but I prefer to do minor edits prior so the stacking comes out more close to what I want to work with :) LMK if you notice a significant difference!
