Absolutely brilliant playthough of Prey, played by someone (‪@AboutOliver‬ ) deeply interested in everything this game has to offer.
Roughly 45 hours of footage compiled to 3 and half hours :p . I focused on the main story in this supercut, but it should be noted that he did almost every quest he could find, watch the full series if you want to see everything. This supercut doesn't include lot of the looting and hacking, but he really did loot and hack absolutely everything. And read every book/mail he could find :D

Its not just that he's smart, he's also observant, he remembers what he's learned, he *believes what the game is telling him* instead of disregarding information, and in the end, he actually connects the dots. All of his playthroughs are 300% less frustrating compared to others because of that

That moment, among so many others, solidifies this as a top 10 game of all time, in my eyes. Really goes to prove how intentional the devs were with every little detail in the game; that they’d know what the average player would be thinking when searching for the poltergeist and thought to include it to further the “the Typhon are in your head” aspect of the psychological horror. Honestly makes me emotional, especially as a game dev who hopes to evoke similar emotions in their work.

So glad I pulled Prey out of my backlog of games to play during lockdown in 2020. This game was absolutely an underrated gem. It's basically "Bioshock in space" but the team that built the station really did a top-tier job flushing out "the world" and writing for the characters. There will always be a part of me that's curious to see what a sequel to this game would've looked like. BUT Prey + the Mooncrash DLC really are fantastic "stand-alone" stories. In its own way, the mystery of "what really happened & what would happen next" are much better off being left unanswered. It's scarier that way ❤

Those names are extremely easy to guess or just say accidentally lmao, they're literal descriptions of what the abilities do, and by that point they've talked about what abilities typhon posses. Its not like he knew what a technopath or a nightmare was called before seeing it.
