It's not about the speed, it's about the pitch and placement. Lots of pitchers can't pitch 98 but don't need to. However, Verlander obviously doesn't have the same command he used to, so without that, well...

The Astros played the Guardians well when the Astros were at their weakest: in early May, and with nothing for the Astros to play for. If I'm the Guardians, I'm hoping the Tigers or Royals deal with them in the AL Wild Card.
