It was a helluva lot better when The Phillies were hitting. The Astros pitching has been phenomenal,but The Phils just keep swinging at balls above The Strike Zone and have no chance doing that.Looks like they are running out of gas. Been a great year and odds aren't with them for sure winning 2 in a row on the road. Especially, if they couldn't at home.

Houston builds stars in their farms, they built this dinasty from the scratch without overpying players. Amazing how Pena did H-Town forget Correa. They deserve the ring, clean their faces and get redemption from their mistakes... The best team in baseball undoubtedly.

During this run the astros have lost dallas keuchel, Charlie Morton, George Springer, garret Cole, and Carlos Correa to free agency and just seem to get better. All these young studs they have pena, Alvarez, tucker, Valdez, Javier, Garcia, hunter brown, etc. This isn't the dodgers just trying to buy a world series the astros do it through drafting and developing players

I liked the defense. Both teams were doing crazy stuff on defense. It just showed that Houston is clearly the better team in this thing. They are the one 100 win team that acts like it in the playoffs. Glad to know the record wasn't just for show the way it was for the Dodgers, Braves, and Yankees. The play in the 3rd to rob a clutch hit , and the leaping HR robbery were particularly great on Houston's part. Those 2 plays pretty much seal their win.

I'm so greatful I got to grow up in the justin verlander era!!! As a tigers fan I've watched this guy's entire career and I'm so glad I did!! I've missed out on a lot of great careers out of spite and I told myself I'm not missing verlanders career I've been a fan since day one Through all the ups and downs and I never not once doubted him!! I believe he is a generational talent!!

What a game! Had me on the edge of my seat for the last several innings. As an Astros fan, you never felt comfortable with that one run and then two run lead. The Phillies scrapped and clawed but it wasn't enough. Great defensive plays by Mancini and the Chazmanian Devil to help preserve the win. The ump made some bad calls against both teams so that was a wash. Great to see Verlander get that W. Now if we can only get Yordan to wake up, these games wouldn't be as close! On to game 6 and Framber Valdez on the bump. Let's close it out at home on Saturday, lads. GO STROS!!

After two straight blow outs Game 5 was an absolute edge of your seat nail biter. It had everything. Even a schoolyard pickle. Extremely tough and hard fought by both teams. So many pivotal plays with the costly errors by Marsh and Hoskins, the sure-handed grab by Mancini, and leaping catches by Pena and especially McCormick making all the difference in the game. That's the way baseball goes sometimes.

An incredible game. Tough luck by the Phillies, but amazing D from the Astros. That catch in the 9th was amazing, but I feel the pick at first by Mancini off Schwarber in the 8th was even better. 90% of the time that ball either gets by him or kicks off his glove. That was the play of the game imo

No. The ball was hit right to him and he was holding the runner on. Had he not been holding the runner it was extra bases and a tie game.

So especially when you add in that the short hop was borderline in the "unpredictable bounce" zone, it's incredibly impressive. Also, it saved a run, where the catch in the 9th didnt.

The Astros came through with another really gutty victory in an epic road game. It was extremely intense since the Phillies were seriously knocking on the door throughout. But that fantastic catch by McCormick is what sums it up. What a game ! This series is likely to go the distance.

That first inning run is so important. The Astros are the kind of team that if they're losing you have to watch out and be careful and if they're winning coming back is going to be damn near posible because their pitching is insane all up and down, whether it's starters or the bullpen.

Usually when you see an underdog you see great plays, great defense and those little things that the other team can't seem to counter. Houston saw this with the Nationals and Braves. But this is different. The Astros are getting the counters against the underdog, putting that little extra to win. Astros have the momentum and drive to finish this series in 6. They just have to come out and get runs and not leave these guys on base. You can't have 0 outs, a guy on first and third and not drive in a run or 2. Pena as a Rookie, Verlander getting that 1st W, Bullpen has been amazing, Dusty on the verge of his 1st ring as a manager it's all just lining up for the Astros. It's great for baseball for Dusty to get that ring! Beside Phili you have the Eagles. Houston needs this 1.

have to give the Astros credit, that catch by McCormick in centerfield was absolutely amazing. Don’t see plays like that everyday. That would’ve been a huge turning point for the Phils in the bottom of the 9th. Great game by both teams, honestly.

I hope Houston fans understand how great of a guy Trey is. I was at the first O's home game when he returned to Baltimore to play as an Astro. When he came up to bat, just about every single person at Camden Yards was on their feet cheering for him (myself included). We played music for his entrance. There were a ton of people with signs saying how much they love Trey. That sort of thing just doesn't usually happen, when the warmest ovation all night is for someone on the opposite team. But it should tell you what kind of guy he is. I am so happy he made such a great play and hope he finds his grove with the bat soon. Houston fans, be good to this man.

I'm disappointed in the obvious bias the network has shown in the series. One example being that during the two games in Houston when the Phillies would score, they would cut to a local Philadelphia bar and show the Philly fans going nuts. They didn't do that at all for Houston fans during the 3 road games (and 2 wins) for the Astros in Philadelphia. The only time they showed the fans was after the game 4 no hitter was over and they showed fans at Minute Maid park celebrating. Second example is on Schwarber's home run. The play by play guy, as the ball was heading out made the call, "This one's got a chance, get up! It's gone!" But hey, our boys and fans are used to it. Let 'em keep hating. Our guys will keep winning. GO STROS!

Not get sent home in the Division Series. Look, you got the win last year; be happy with that even though your team can't have sustained success.

I remember watching his first start thinking this guy is gonna be something special for a long long time and he's proved me right every step of the way!!
