No one should ever have to lay their elementary school aged child to rest merely because they wanted to go to a concert together. This is completely unforgivable and i hope Travis Scott, and every person remotely responsible for this travesty, is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. He is *absolutely* responsible for all of those young lives lost. Their blood is on his hands and its time he’s held accountable.

The wild part is that TLR didn't even cover everything. There's still a lot of info that I was able to dig up when this first made headlines. A couple example off the top of my head are, >Kylie potentially lying about not knowing because they were escorted out 30-45 minutes before Travis stopped performing. >Live Nation's body count of 200 confirmed deaths, and I believe 750+ estimated injuries dating back to 2002. This was set to be a massive disaster from top to bottom just from the staffing and promotional choices alone.

Some fans described the crowd moving as on because everyone was packed in so tight, they couldn't even fill their lungs. Fear that their ankles were going to break or that they would get trampled if they fell. Bodies pushing together so tightly that you couldnt catch your breath. People screaming for help getting out or that they cant breathe. The crowd was pushing toward the stage and the closer to the front you were, the worse it got. I had a similar experience before at a concert to see Tyler the Creator. However, the crowd was only a fraction of the size and we were not held in by barricades. Also, security was able to pull out fans that wanted taken from the front of the crowd. Tyler had taken time for everyone to calm down and spread out or leave the crowd. Travis didn't even do that with an ambulance in his crowd.

Him calling Travis dickhead and scumbag multiple times over an hour is a form of twisting media as well. Objective journalism has no opinion. Journalists give you the facts of what happened and let you decide how you feel. This isn't journalism; its him telling you Travis is a bad person because this this and this for an hour.

@UCfFcelD8KbMoQRuRAlHqD7g WHAAAAA 😭😭😭 your favorite scumbag millionaire has repeatedly incited riots that took the lives of his fans, profited off of it, came away with partnerships, and showed absolutely zero genuine remorse for any of it and someone has the balls to call him out. Everything Ross said in this video was true. Of course he threw in his personal opinion, that's how his channel works. But the story he delivered was facts exactly as they are, which to any reasonable person would paint Travis Scott as a total narcissistic piece of shit. If that bothers you, I'm sure there are plenty of echo chambers you can go be a part of where everyone pretends none of this is his fault. Why not go there?
@LSUDemon

@@ceetee110 Travis Scott is far from my favorite celebrity and I don’t even listen to his music lmaoo 🤣 my only point was that this isn’t journalism. You’re correct he did speak a lot of facts in this video and Travis is to blame (along with a bunch of other people that are failed to be mentioned). But none of that makes him anything more than a hip hop reporter, not a journalist. And fyi this video was actually not 100% all factual. There’s several times he’s assuming Travis heard something, felt something, was told something, or knew something that nobody can prove but Travis himself but of course y’all not gonna acknowledge that cause it doesn’t fit the narrative. That being said I do agree 10000% Travis is at fault but he shouldn’t be the only person getting bashed and called out of his name only because he’s the face.

@ceetee110 2 жыл бұрын
@@LSUDemon So YOUR personal definition of journalism is reporting and documenting that is purely objective? Where do you see that? ALL journalism is spun in some way, whether it be subtly or blatantly. Ross definitely spoke from a place of emotion for a lot of this video, and there was quite a bit of conjecture. But there were also plenty of just straight up facts. Your original comment said that this wasn't journalism, but I would argue that it totally is... Just not objective journalism, which again I struggle to think of any that is truly objective. But as far as your reply to OP, I have to agree. To say that this isn't spun is ridiculous. But I also think that Ross's brand is one of comedy and personality, and his journalism wouldn't be what it is without that. To say that this isn't a good report on what happened because he (rightfully) called the guy a dickhead and a scumbag is kind of missing the whole point.

@@ceetee110 In my opinion it’s not. He doesn’t provide any information about what anyone involved did wrong except Travis bro. Travis is not the sole person to blame here. It takes a lot more than one person to plan, prepare and run a festival. If you were the Houston chief of police and you know Travis Scott’s festivals are always crazy and have had people injured in the past and you have to assign your own police officers to be at his concert would you not go through the necessary steps to make sure it’s gonna be safe ? Or if you’re the person in charge of the venue that Travis is renting out for the concert wouldn’t you go through the necessary steps to make sure it’s gonna be safe ? Y’all all screaming Travis Travis Travis but there’s video of people getting injured and trampled at the Don Toliver portion earlier in the day in broad daylight and the people in charge of the venue did nothing. No evidence that Travis knew it was a mass casualty event, but continued to play anyway, only Live Nation knew so how is it Travis's fault. We don't know what Travis did and didn't see, but he makes assumptions that becuase Travis was able to see some things he could see everything, even tho it's a crowd of 50k people and he's performing. I've gone to so many concerts and festivals from kpop to rap to metal. Whether lights were on the audience or not, the performers always took time in between songs to connect with their audience and even chat with them to show appreciation and acknowledgement. Travis saw an emergency vehicle and didn't care to check on the emergency with his fans who came to support him. And when those two management looking dudes came to him onstage, he wasn't interested in what happened to anyone. The people that were in charge of audio and lighting, should have turned on all the lights to assist the audience and stopped the music from the speakers. There are so many precautions that were ignored (idk by who) and the people on stage completely ignore the red flags when people were suffering. Before the show even started, security was breached and barricades were broken. The show should've been canceled way before anyone even took the stage... but the companies that would have lost millions of dollars couldn't put the safety of the fans and staff first.

I agree & I love Drake's music too. of course, while I don't think Drake's even nearly as responsible for the tragedy that occurred, he still had an opportunity to cease what he could & help spare as many injuries as late as his set was. I also think that he probably shouldn't be specifically named in the lawsuit bc he wasn't onstage for longer than a few songs' worth of time. & I find it dubious that someone had informed him if he came out & KNOWINGLY rubbed salt in the cataclysmic wound with phrases like "savor this moment in" & "this is historic right here." but.... I definitely understand that this was preventable COMPLETELY so holding every marquee name at fault will guarantee that this much inciting & evoking should never happen again. I still like their music, but Travis has shown himself to be so egotistical that he lets his own fans become paralyzed at his whim, & then he dodges culpability AS SOON AS he can if the result doesn't reflect kindly. nigga let people get injured numerous times for the "vibe." foh, that's worse than a cult if you subject them to self-endangerment

Your conclusion really nails it. Travis Scott has left his ego unchecked for too long. Made him think he's too big an artist for any rules or repercussions. He's well aware of the influence he has over his fans and he's exploited and profited off it numerous times. The man thought he can run his festival on his own rules. He doesn't see this as a tragedy but an inconvenience. That's why he's hiding in his house behind PR, as if it's something that should be quickly forgotten. I just left this exact comment. And it's really egregious because they are hijacking a culture that he does not have the passion to even understand. Going to a show in exchanging energy with people, connecting with people is cathartic. It's not violent. Music bonds you within the chaos. I've been to so many punk and metal shows and have never been hurt. No one ever lets anyone fall, no one is violent, we use a little bit of pain to get through pain and chaos together. The shallow, vapid garbage that he promotes is nothing but fake edginess. He thinks the more hardcore that the crowd gets, that it'll make him hardcore. When it's very clear that he doesn't understand anything about the culture and it's purpose. It makes me so angry that people died for nothing

I mean early punk/hardcore shows, I've never been I'm too young but reportedly, there was none of this 'honour amongst the pit' that we have nowadays in punk and metal shows. People went to be violent to the sound of aggressive music. I've heard it said if you were trying to avoid the pit at those old hardcore shows, you got dragged in anyway. There were deaths etc, just those shows were a much much much smaller scale. Completely different nowadays though.

@@gylfi1002 I would have to disagree. There is so much comradery. I think people see pits and dont understand the actual dynamic within. Whilst you went to blow off steam or extricate aggression,many people,while pushing and shoving,even hitting others were not trying to be violent. Not trying to draw blood. Not trying to take cheap shots. If you fell SEVERAL people helped. Its more like a shared energy. People typically dont drag people in the pit as they merely sort of get in ones way because people arent trying to trample over anyone. It is about the communal exchange of energy. People very rarely died and if ever there was even so much of a singular incident that was noticeable let alone a MASS ASSAULT music would be stopped. Im telling you because I grew up in this scene. From the outside looking in it may be seen as similar but theres nothing similar about it.

The fact of the matter is though that these types of of things happen at giant events quite too often because PEOPLE can't control themselves. @@J-breezy80the victims who died off site are not included in the total death count. It's a conservative estimate, but I would say it's not that implausible to say 200 souls were lost, in total.

I always hated this pseudo punk attitude with hyper capitalist ideals - artists just like Travis Scott. Everything about them and what they say they represent seems so conflicting. Even at the most hardcore punk shows or raves (or basically any other event with poor infrastructure and big, crazy crowds), the artists ALWAYS stop the show at the slightest sign of violence or trouble.

Bravo Ross for going this hard. Truly shocking how irresponsible Travis is being. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends affected 🙏

@@fnwboosa maybe I'm trippin but are you mad at Ross for making a living doing, ya know, his job? He's a social commentator that specializes in hip-hop news. He is a legitimate source, not only for entertainment but for getting actual facts that he and his team clearly do research to provide. If this would have been HIS event that had killed people and he wanted to come on here to make a statement about it and then also kept ads on to make money knowing full well he'd have massive traffic, therefore huge ad revenue then yes, absolutely reprehensible. This, however, is clearly not the case. He has enough subscribers and views per month that I would venture to guess that this might very well be his full time job. Therefore, although tragic, the story needs to be brought to light and the facts be given to the public by those that are supposed to report on it. He is merely doing his job my guy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having ads on this video. Though, if you still truely feel like it is a problem then maybe check first to see if he may be donating the proceeds of this video to the victims and families of the deceased before calling him a "clown" for doing his job. Don't forget, YOU clicked on HIS video. Lastly, do you also keep this same energy when you watch your go-to news source (i.e. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, FOX NEWS, ect.)? To you, they should also not be allowed to have commercials to pay foe the time and effort it takes to research data, film, edit, and air it? Come on now bro, please tell me you see the flaws in this line of thinking. Stay blessed regardless if you do or do not.
