Warning the mayor about 15 minute cities? Pretty sure he needs no warning. The concept isn’t bad, having everything close by to reduce waste of travel for daily errands. The problem comes into play once there is enough acceptance of that model with its inherent surveillance that it will start to be enforced through punitive taxation or fees related to the city virtual boundary. We are seeing this with ULEZ and similar plans now. Imagine a time in the not so distant future where your designated area is geo fenced. Your phone or ID device alerts you as you approach the edge “you are near the boundary of your zone”. Then, as you get closer your car shuts down or automatically drives you back to your designated living quarters. Your infraction costs you social points and your weekly food allowance has been reduced due to your attempted violation.

I called the city engineer on this. The lights that say LED on the bottom are made by Johnson Control. There is low bandwidth and high bandwidth 5g. Each are capable of different add ons like cameras, plate scanners, gun shot detection, scanning for parking capacity and so on.
