@adD Time Is Asukas dash block bad? I feel like i always get hit by zoners so hard while trying to do this. Thank you for this guide i will study this video as I have played him for a few months but struggle with 0 attack cards.

Since Asuka's initial dash speed is on the slower side, he doesn't cover as much ground as others would, but as long as you're going from dash to block fast enough you should at least be able to cover some ground and block. When you don't have any attack spells, I find it best to superjump back near fullscreen and get 1-2 spells bookmarked or try to get in range for a 5H or 2H and bookmark a spell or 2 on hit or even block.

I have made the incredibly foolish decision to main Asuka as someone with almost zero fighting game experience. I feel like I'm starting a masters degree program, But I love a good challenge haha

I have done the same thing, and am virtually winless against actual humans 😂. How is your journey going? Have you found any other good resources, particularly less advanced ones than this?

@@remikaly I actually ended up practicing in a different way then I first thought I would. I Did spend about a week just practicing him and his spells on the dummy, but then for a few weeks I practiced every character to some degree, learning the different playstyles and abilities, at times some characters were boring to me, but I would practice the character till I could beat a lvl 100 bot around half the time with a given character. Earlier Today I finally started practicing asuka again, and it's still rusty/difficult, but all that practice with other characters has paid off, and Learning this time around is a lot easier.

@@remikaly Little late here, but honestly the best thing you can do is get used to a slightly simpler character and become familiar with Oki (what you do after knocking an opponent down ie: after a throw), pressure (what you do after hitting a blocking opponent), mix (a move or a technique that involves "mixing up" your opponent whether that be that you make them block standing when they usually block while crouching or grabbing them instead of continuing to just attack them while they block)

Which part isn't working? You're not close enough for the j.K to reach after? If that's it then make sure you're jumping forward into the instant air Metron Screamer.
