Both summer and winter, the Asulkan and Sapphire Col huts are great places to stay. Winter in this area affords some of the worlds best powder (and also some of the highest avalanche risk) so hut availability can be quite difficult to find at times. The Asulkan Hut is found at the end of a leisurely hike, except for the last 1.5km, which goes directly up a steep lateral moraine. Sapphire Col hut requires glacier travel and requires a higher level of expertise. In winter, the terrain in this area is varied and diverse. It requires experience in advanced avalanche terrain and is not for beginners unless with a guide or those with experience.
