This is my favourite duel in the entire show. I love Yuuki and I love Asuna. They are both amazing and them going at each other with all they had was so cool 😍 Also you can see in Asunas eyes the exact moment that Lightning Flash Asuna from the Knights of the Blood came back. This duel really showed how Asuna became the strongest frontline fighter in the original SAO right after Kirito. She is just amazing and in some ways even stronger than Kirito. Also I hate Asunas family too. Or rather this way of thinking that only they know what will make her happy and not letting her choose at all.

And he gave himself his unique sword skill. So most of his skills were not earned by playing but by being the designer of that world. Also I view him as the final boss and not a frontline fighter. Especially since he barely participated at the frontline besides fighting boss monsters.

There's something that most people don't give this fight sequence credit for. Basically, Asuna uses a Rapier so throughout the fight you see her using fencing techniques while Yuuki uses a double edged one-handed sword so you see her doing some more horizontal and wide swings with the occasional stab. That moment at the beginning of the second fight sequence showed this. Asuna went for a stab skill while Yuuki went for more of a slash skill. Just a nice little detail.

Definitely underrated. Everything from the music to the animations to choreography were just spot on. I especially love the small details they added regarding the different sword types. Yuuki has a special place in my (and a lot of people's) heart, even if she's a minor character in the grand scheme of things. There are only a very few select people who can carry as much weight in their name as an SAO survivor without being one, and she is absolutely at the top of that list. Also, she's really charismatic and cute too, which adds to the charm.

you know hear something that Asuna should’ve put it out the fact that if it wasn’t for kirito who is able to stop Sugou’s plan and freed Asuna; their family would’ve been ruined or stolen! If you Sugou actually got what he wanted like Marry Asuna and became part of the Yuuki family, he would’ve menacingly at the right time kick out of Asuna parents from their home and their fortune knowing that he’s in control now and he has everything they had and even someone to love as he please and making one of them, realize that they made a horrible mistake that ruined there family. But then, came kirito who was able to make it through ALO find Asuna and defeat Sugou shutting him and his plans down and exposing him for the fraud he is and saving Asuna and her family, so don’t tell her that he’s not worthy because he’s as worthy as you think

Don't forget the fact that Noboyuki would've even taken control of her father's company as he was already using it as a front for his unethical experiments, with Asuna being one of his guinea pigs. Her parents will probably get ostracized by the public for starting another SAO Incident and probably think they deliberately offered their daughter to him. Kirito not only risked life and limb to save their daughter and countless others from a fate worse than death. But he also saved Asuna's parents from potential poverty and from becoming pariahs. If that doesn't make him worthy of Asuna, I don't know what will. Although, it was a somewhat hollow victory because Asuna's father was forced to retire from his position CEO of that company as a result of that scandal.

Let's not forget that her parents' (mostly her mom's) control freak behavior is what drove Asuna to log into SAO and get trapped in the first place. Even if her getting stuck in the game only happened by chance. She only played the game because it was her one chance to express and enjoy herself, while at the same relieving herself of stress. Her mom saw these video games or anything exciting & joyful in life in general as a crime and a waste of time. Thinking they restrict and limit Asuna's potential. For Asuna, it's wake up and study until it's time for bed. Like a robot bound to its orders. Her mom is trying to rush her, she doesn't give her daughter any advice or rest. Nor give her the ability to choose what she really wants in life. Instead, she chooses it for her. Then came Noboyuki. The father may have been the one who brought him into house, but his wife was the who in charge of arranging his marriage to Asuna in the first place. Something she's been doing to Asuna from day one: Hooking her daughter up with, at best, questionable people Asuna hardly knows. And look where that got them. Kyouko endangered her daughter's life twice over. And it would've become three times over if she transfered her to that other school. The government made the SAO Survivor School to help cure them of their trauma and PTSD they suffered from their experiences in the game. Everyone there genuinely act like normal people because they are all on the same boat. Plus, sending them back to their normal schools would've been a bad idea. Think about it, their peers would bully and ostracize them about their traumatic experiences in SAO while mocking them about the possibility that they killed one another to survive. It's no different from how Sinon was treated by her peers for her "Gunophobia" and the fact she killed someone who was threatening the lives of people including her mom and her. The bullies didn't know the gravity of the situation nor cared. Thus, if Asuna goes to that school her mother wants her to transfer to, declining grades will be the least of their problems. Asuna will get ostracized and bullied for being an SAO Survivor. It's bad enough her mom is a strict control freak, she doesn't need more weight to her stress with bullying. Worse case scenario: she might get driven to suicide and the blood will be on Kyouko's hands.

I say my Asuna's mom rating according to your criteria would be... Probably a 7/10 at most, maybe even 6/10 if I'm being generous. She's definitely bellow Willow Schnee, who I'd say is a solid 8/10, but not by much. For reference, Medusa from Soul Eater is a 10/10 mom, while Mito from Hunter x Hunter is a 1/10 mom. Additionally, Marianne from Code Geass is an example of a 9/10 mom, while Subaru's mom from Re:Zero and Yor from Spy x Family are some examples of 2/10 (or maybe 3/10) moms.

The only way for Kirito to beat Yuuki is to out gear her to the point that he can close the gap in skill through an advantage in stats, both the characters and word of god, the author himself, make it crystal clear that Yuuki is simply better than Kirito. In a fair battle Yuuki will win every time, that's simply how it is.

I won’t get into the semantics for spoiler reasons, but I don’t think Kirito would beat Yuuki if they were both being serious. While Kirito is a pretty hardcore, skilled gamer, Yuuki LIVES the game…and has done so longer than Kirito has. Kirito even admitted himself that if Yuuki played SAO, she would’ve gotten the duel-wielding sword skill. Now, you could make the argument about their second duel (won’t get into spoilers), but really it’s a wash. It doesn’t really matter because at the end of the day, whoever wins or loses does nothing to advance the plot.
