I literally couldn't comprehend the concept of this game when it come out on Xbox 360. I thought it was so limiting in gameplay. Like why couldn't I just run around and combo people as if it's God of War? I just didn't get it. I thought it was cheap game design holding the player back at every moment, but now it all makes a lot more sense to me. This game is fucking awesome as something you just watch. One giant cinematic cutscene where you are put in control of every meaningful action, represented by small mini-games the developers can tailor make for each scenario. It's full of character and there's a bit of passion in every little gameplay/visual idea. Even though this game was so niche, I think people still respected the love put into the world of Asura and the idea behind the game even if the gameplay was clearly restrictive to so many people. Asura feels like a pretty respected character in the gaming community despite only existing in a single niche and underperforming title on the Xbox 360.

Does not help that one generates infinite power through their mantra. Not many characters could probably stand up against Asura in that regard. Make the dude mad enough and his power escalates to beyond his opponent no matter the power difference.

He fought the Creator of his (and other universes) And STILL did it with his bare hands and infinitely increasing rage Kratos needed help is a handful of those and with weapons...... ASURA has literally only one moment......fighting with no arms (AND USING A BROKEN SWORD WITH HIS MOUTH) and won

I like how they _make_ it an option. It’s a small way of getting the player more invested in the story. Asura does it when _you_ prompt him to do it.
