The fact he fails this as well really sells it. He was trying to emulate the two strongest beings in a desperate attempt to succed. Asura obviously is one; tossing away his magic to throw hands like his enemy. But then he also copies the player; technically, the only power that will always rival his. His failure comes from his arrogance and misinterpretation of power, or rather the drive to use it fully. Both Asura and you desire to end this and save Mithra... and nothing will stop either of you at all from achieving that goal.

They really need to, since the true ending was DLC when it was originally released. The disc had a pseudo ending that ended the Gohma part of the plot during episode 18 iirc but the last four episodes that fully tied up most of the plot threads were behind a goddamn paywall, which this fight is a part of. Whether that was due to the supposed reason of the game being literally too big for the disc it came on, as some say, or it being due to the attitude Capcom was having at the time, not for me to say, but either way, the game is at this point not in its complete form, and the PS3 and X360 stores will be down forever eventually, meaning unless they remaster it, the game as it is now will eventually be permanently incomplete to anyone whom wishes to play it without the DLC "True Ending"

All the reasons you said, and the fact that in 2019 everyone gets offended by everything. The game was awesome, but if the conversations about Hinduism and religion in seeing in all the comments is a warning of itself. The game was loosely based on Hinduism and Buddhism well having alot of fun fights and action scenes. I mean Asura isn't even a sigular term or person when it comes to the mythology. So the game is based loosely on that.. I mean I think I figured that out when they were like robots or had giant space ships lol. But beyond all that its just that fighting games like this just aren't popular or don't get good advertising, especially when they have to compete with similar games, but have bigger names behind them.... Like Naruto or Dragonball for example.
