17:53 - I love how Chakravartin is just observing Asura so casually after escaping his grasp, not even taking the oppertunity to surprise attack him, but rather go all up close just to put insult to injury. It's like he's fascinated by how one of his owns creations could stand up to him to such a level, while simultaneously mocking Asura's efforts in his attempt to defeat him by effortlessly getting inches from him without being detected within the timespan where Asura could have time to counter-attack. Chakravartin comes off menacingly superior (like a predator toying with its prey) and deservingly so, he's the final boss after all. Little things like that just really adds to the characters :)

Asuras family was murdered by his comrades, and he fights for his revenge and for the sake of manking, protecting the humans from the ghoma and the demigods. Not only that, but this video pretty much showcases Asura's strong sense of justice. He's disgusted with how human beings and other innocents are abused and misused as mere tools by those with high power. He is indeed no fan of Chakravartin's egomaniac sense of entitlement to be the ruler of all. Besides, Asura isn't the kind of guy to lead, but to fight for it.

Look, the point of Saitama is supposed to be a joke, it's supposed to mock fights like this or any other super serious super power mega fight. If Asura would encounter Saitama he'd be defeated by Saitama without effort. Saitama was shown to surpass everything. He surpasses even gods like nothing. And that is the point. ONE simply wanted to create a char that is stronger than every other enemy, no matter how strong the opponent is. And for that I like OPM very much ^^

Particularly if that someone is an angry father whose child got caught in the resulting crossfire. Also, those lines had to be one of the most badass in the entire game, given the context.

@roktupus Well I wouldn't necessarily say that that is the way the Japanese view "god" and their relationship with him. I do agree that the "rebelling against an evil creator" them has been becoming more prevalent in Japanese RPGs latetly( eg. Final Fantasy). I'm not exactly sure why though. Perhaps in response to all the terrible natural disasters that have been happening in Japan and all over the world, among other things. Video games are often times just commentaries of our own everyday realities, maybe exaggerated or spiced up here and there for more entertainment value. Also, I disagree with your point that killing Chakravartin meant that they would all die because as we see at the end of the game an adult Mithra is telling the story of her father to some unknown people. So clearly, humanity did and does survive after Asura's great cosmic battle. Its just that with the death of Chakravartin, now humanity can no longer use the power of Mantra, and all the demigods perished ( including Asura) because they were totally dependent on it to exist, unlike normal humans such as his daughter. That is where he and all the other demigods got their amazing superhuman powers from. And also, that is how the Shinkoku Trastrium empire rose up to become the most powerful and advanced civilization on Earth. But humanity didn't necessarily need mantra, and therefore Chakravartin, to survive or thrive. In my own view, I see Chakravartin as an imitatior and imposter of the true "god". The " true god" would never be so cruel or selfish to cause so much pain and suffering to meet his own ends. A "god" should be defined as one that embodies and teaches "absolute compassion". Caring about the welfare of others, seeking to heal rather than hurt, to save rather than abandon, to free rather than manipulate, to empathize rather than be apathetic towards, I think those are the beginnings of what makes a god a or the " true god". God can and does mean many different things to many different people, but it always has to do with something higher and greater than ourselves that guides us, teaches us, and shows us a higher path for our lives. The only way to a higher and better path in this world is through compassion and there is evidence enough around us in everyday life to strongly suggest that. What every heart truly desires the most deep down is what in essence is "god". God is our hearts deepest desire. To be loved, cared for, and guided to happiness. If that's not it then I I have no idea what it could be, because anything else simply just would not make sense. The world Charkavartin wishes to create makes no sense to me. And what necessarily he thinks makes Asura a " perfect" being makes no sense to me either. A world of chaos? Destruction? Anarchy? I'm really not sure. But his methods clearly reveal him be an uncaring and cruel entity. Even the mantra itself is an evil power if you look at it closely, because it is made up of 8 destructive forces( wrath, pride, lust, melancholy etc.) which all of the 8 deity generals individually symbolize. If anyone would want to call that "god" then something must be wrong with them, in my opinion.

Or, Asura GOT what he wanted-- he got Mithra, his daughter, back. He didn't go on his rampage for ANY OTHER REASON, didn't take on all that power, didn't punch the ever loving s**t out of so many demigods, than to get Mithra back. And now, thanks to Chakravartin, he HAS her back. He has no NEED to accept Chakra's offer. (Also, there's the fact that Asura may well be aware that if he just lets Chakra go, he will go on to repeat the misery he inflicted on Gaea...and Asura just CANNOT let that be.)
