Most of the Final boss themes has a either orchestra or heavy metal but this theme is... unique... due to it starts calmly then gets intensely yet calm. And it gives you the feels of literally fighting againts the true god. Not like trying to be intense as hell but being calm and gentle. this Theme is one of the best yet probably the best final boss theme there is.

This must be my favorite part of the game. I just love how the tone of this encounter is so different from the rest of the game. It's like you fight demigods, break the will of an entire planet, and soar through the cosmos blowing up planets and supernovas just to get here, and then Chakravartin wipes the Event Horizon and this song starts playing and you just know that the whole game has been building up to this brutal death match in a parallel universe against the god of creation.
@we-must-live7 ай бұрын
mhm - the entire game is about Asura defying these "gods of death". but they are not gods. even the one named "Deus"/"God" is nothing but an overzealous fanatic. even the will of the planet itself, a monstrosity beyond comprehension, is not a god. but then you meet a God. and it wipes the floor with your characters, replays the beginning of the game and threatens to destroy everything you just worked for... essentially because it has nothing better to do.

This theme sums up how brilliant Asura's fight against Chakravartin is. It has a melancholic tone, a fitting feel for the last battle, the pianos and the eerie blowing of the slow wind captures the feel of 'This is the end', and then sudden rise in music as the beat picks up for a few moments could symbolize Asura fighting against the flow of how 'Things are supposed to be'.

Damn, I freaking love this soundtrack! There are tons of Japanese composers who make some of the best soundtracks for games, especially stuff for Capcom, Namco and Square Enix. Chakravartin was a boss that is seriously an experience. Mofo throws planets and suns at you, breaks Heaven and the Underworld just to beat you up, throws all his freaking arms at you, and then decides to revert you to your puny 1st form just to prove he wasn't messing around. He wasn't hard at all (Heck, Akuma and Ryu are surprisingly harder to beat than he is!), but man was it a fun and emotional ending for this great game!
@everythingsalright11215 жыл бұрын
Man, the name and tune of the theme really sets the stage for what kind of entity Asura is facing. The one who spins samsara, the wheel of life. The creator of everything. That's pretty insane. The theme is fairly quiet; it's just him and the god of creation. Everything is gone except for those two, and now it's time to decide who's stronger.

In it's own weird way, this theme is very intense. The melancholy parts sort of give a hopeless feel while still remaining tense, while the more action sounding parts still retain this feel to a lesser degree and making it feel a bit more like a battle to the death. @DiReplay10 жыл бұрын
Sperium3000 Actually, this is incorrect. Asura's Wrath was originally intended to have a full sequel, with Chakravartin as the main antagonist, which is what the on disk ending was meaning to tease towards, but this game sadly made HORRIBLE sales as to what was expected, and so on top of the extra episodes that was the actually planned DLC, they decided to just conclude the story and sell it as DLC, as making a full game wasn't going to make a profit anymore.

There may be a greater force than Chakavartin that caused Asura to gain enough power to match/defeat him. Another theory though is that Chakaravartin fully intended to make a destructor like Asura, but made the fatal mistake of assuming his creation would never be as powerful as it's creator.

Asura’s power may have come from the will of the universe trying to defend itself from its creator who now seeks to destroy it.
@Sorain1 Жыл бұрын
I've always interpreted it as a simple case of two absolutes that also have a focus. Chakravartin is an absolute power, being the creator. Yet Asura is also an absolute power, the destroyer. What do we see them doing? Chakravartin is trying to _destroy_ Asura, and Asura is trying to destroy Chakravartin. Whom is more capable of destroying, the creator or the destroyer? Or, we could see it as the universe having to judge which side has moral authority: The source of all suffering lashing out in a childish tantrum over not getting what he wants? Or a father fighting for his daughter's future to end her needless suffering?
@luciferthechosenone12211 ай бұрын
@@Sorain1Yes, we believe that Chakravartin is literally a devil-god (Demiurge). You could say that he is an initiating force with blue and orange morality who doesn't mind sacrificing anything to get what he wants. While Asura is more of a mortal who became a demigod and then a divinity. Not to mention that Asura was so insane that he didn't care about dying.

I just love the feel of this song most Final Boss theme in gaming are very dynamic and epic not this one, and this is actually suprisingly fitting for this fight as no matter what the outcome this is Asura's last fight either he win or loses he will die and he knows it, this song is just really sad as this is like the Requiem of Asura.

For people who are making meanings of Samsara : . Samsara is actually Bad pronounciation of Sanskrut word "SansAAR". Sansar literally means the universe, but in spiritual way.. When I say Sansaar, I mean entire multiverse along with our feeling of living in it, including cycle of souls coming into and leaving the bodies, etc. . It's kind of feeling you get when you look into night sky and think about it's end, and so on, and end up getting goosebumps about being trapped in something which is very huge, dark and full of mysteries,... that is Sansaar for you my friend.. When that music plays it's so erie and kind of scary, because he's about to face a being of immense power! The God of his Universe. Chakravatin's looks alone are staggering. Amazing!

The fact that only 2 months ago you still had this opinion says a lot about the sad situation of current gamers drinking up all that fucking kool-aid. I don't care who you are; and I don't care how good it was, you shouldn't have to pay for main content. It was an unfinished product, there is no arguing that. Of course that is fucking bad; bad for consumers, bad for industry, only going to get worse from there. Say goodbye to your entire paycheck for a single game story experience years down the road.

When I played the DLC, I thought this tune was just a slower version of 'Vajra Asura vs. Vajra Deus'. (Which was itself just a slower version of "In Your Belief") Now that I'm listening to it independent of the gameplay I see that there's a lot that I never noticed. Though the basic theme of In Your Belief is in this song, there's quite a bit more, it sure isn't just a remix.

When Chakravartin moves around, he reminds of the Magician from House of the Dead.
1:35 Hearing this part of this song while Chakravatin says, "The suffering this world has seen, was "ALL" to choose my heir" really makes everything that happened pior to this feel so little even Asura's wife death and the girl with her sister from the village

@@acasualfanboy1862In Hindu Cosmology, The "Name" asura actually tends to be used as both a NAME but also a _designation_ It (Hinduism) is somewhat alike to the Norse brand of Paganism, for, much like in the beginning of Norse Mythology, in the early period of Hindu Cosmology, there are held to be two Races, the Asura and the Deva, Members of the "Deva" are those spirits whom are commonly worshipped as gods among hinduism, and the Asura are often held to be the "Demonic" or at least, unpleasant parts of reality, that are counter to the "goodness" of the Deva. Gods vrs Demons. BUT the Asura, while often having malevolent members and usually being painted as all bad because of that, are also known for having good and respectable examples as well. it is the divine equivalent of saying all Austrians are bad, and all Japanese are good. But in modern times, and for the shallow (not to be mean, they used a hindu asthetic, they never delved much into philosophy and religion during the game though) and over-the-top antics of the game, i think it can be taken to mean that, they were saying that Chakravartin, who is the "All Encompassing One" (which includes all good AND bad, Creation and Destruction) took HIS "Demon" or "Destroyer" form to fight Asura(The Character) which means that Asura out-Destroyered the Destroyer at the end of time. Somewhat asserting himself as the TRUE "God Of Destruction" and putting a wretched moral relativist in their place at the same time 🙂

One element of this musique and especially this fight, is we see this strange mystic etherial god with this calm and strange musique, with th empty void, that when Asura start to get angry, it's feeling like it's out of place, like all of his anger and rage are disrupting this calm place and this strange god. I got that feeling that for the first time in the game, i didn't want to push the "shut up and punch it' button, i wanted to see more of this without having the urge to punch the sh*t out of it
