This is a great laptop for creatives. It has a 14-Core Intel Core i9-13900H and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. You can get this laptop with 16 GB of ram and a 1 TB SSD or you can upgrade it all the way to 40 GB of ram and a 4 TB SSD.

Your Welcome! It comes in different ram options from 16 to 40. So I am pretty sure you can upgrade it. I bought this one maxed out with 40 GB of ram. So it should last for a while.

I'm tempted to get this over the Q530 version. There's like 200$ difference in price and not whole a lot in performance. But the killer point for me is the screen ☹️

I bought this used for about $750. It works pretty well and its super fast. But I was having an overheating issue while playing league of legends. I was using it on a table with a cloth top. But it also overheated on a wooden top. Anyhow I stuck 2 forks underneath it and it appears to have solved my problem...still i don't think it should be overheating playing such an old game....(maybe the seller pulled one over on me)
@thathobbyreview

I haven't noticed any issues on mine. But I keep it on a vented laptop stand. So it gets lots of airflow. It can get a little hot if you are charging it while gamming. If you bought it used there is a chance that it was left in a hot car or something. That can damage the battery. A lot of overheating issues are from the battery. You might want to look at the battery and make sure it isn't swollen or anything like that. If it looks fine you could get a vented laptop stand and try charging it before gaming. Also try testing it on some different games.

Was the audio syncing in the webcam demo a mistake when you edited this video (audio and video got separated), or was there a delay in the recording process?
@thathobbyreview
@thathobbyreview 20 күн бұрын
I didn't do anything with the audio. I just recorded myself with the webcam and added the video clip that I recorded with the webcam to my video. I don't really use the webcam that much. I mainly record my videos with my phone and my GoPro. So I am not that familiar with it. I will have to play around with the webcam some more and make an update video.

Hello, I got this laptop yesterday and I found inside mother board one more slot for one more SSD we can add , but there is one thing I don't like, when I connect mobile charger with original cable to usb type-C I see the charging is slow, and if I using photoshop or some App like it , the charging come done slowly 68% , 67%, 66%, maybe need high power charger, so I should take the Asus adaptor with me anywhere .

I am not sure which charger would work best. I know it takes a lot more power than most chargers can provide. I will try a few different chargers and post an update when I find one. If you find one you like let me know.

I also have an Alienware PC. It's a really good computer but I have some issues with it not playing older games. The Alienware software is really cool for overclocking and controlling the fans when you are gaming and rendering video but it has issues with older games crashing. So if you have some older games you like to play you may not be able to play them on an Alienware.

is it good for architecture?
@thathobbyreview
@thathobbyreview 13 күн бұрын
I haven't done any 3D modeling yet. We got a 3D printer for our son and he will be learning how to make 3D models. That's one of the reasons we bought this laptop. It is supposed to be really good for that kind of stuff. So it should work great for architecture design programs too. But the best thing to do is look at the programs you want to use and see what the processor and ram requirements are.

@@thathobbyreview mines came with 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. Not bad at all. The extra vRAM on this helps out a lot. It doesn't max out on memory. I couldn't edit those on an expensive MacBook Pro with M1 Pro without seeing massive frame drops. I had to stuff 36GB of RAM in the 16" MacBook Pro with the new M3 Pro chip to not see it anymore.

Somebody recommended that I get a laptop fan to cool it down. It will also be hotter when charging. So you could try the fan and try to charging it up before you start gaming or open a large software program. If you have had it for a while it could be the battery. They batteries in laptops can go bad after a while and cause overheating issues.

Spec wise the ASUS Q540 looks a little better. But the Asus Zenbook 14X looks pretty good too. The biggest difference is that the ASUS Creator Laptop has a 3050 Graphics card. That's the main reason it cost a few hundred dollars more. So if you need a good graphics card for your programs then the Creator Q540 is better.

This laptop better or not for autocad and rivets 3d modeling ?
@thathobbyreview
@thathobbyreview 4 ай бұрын
I haven't used it for 3d modeling. So all I can do is look at the specs. The ASUS Q540 has an Intel Core i9-13900H 14-Core (Base Frequency 2.9 GHz, Up to 5.4 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, 24 MB Intel Smart cache, 14 cores (6P + 8E), 20 threads). When I looked up the requirements for rivets 3d modeling it recommends 2.5GHz or Higher. Rivets software products will use multiple cores for many tasks. So the processor in the ASUS Q540 should work great for 3d modeling. The recommended memory for rivets is 16 GB RAM. The ASUS Q540 base model comes with 16 GB RAM. I think that's the minimum though. So you may want to upgrade to more RAM. You can get this laptop with 16 GB, 24 GB or 40 GB RAM. It should work great for 3d modeling but like I said you may want to upgrade the RAM.
