ASUS AImesh perfect Pair: ROG GT-AX11000 Pro and Zenwifi XT12 | JK Chavez

Do you prefer this setup with the AX11000 Pro as the primary unit, or having 4x Zens? Which unit carries the more powerful antenna to transmit the backhaul wireless signal?

Hi, for my opinion you can't go wrong with any configuration because both xt12 and ax11000 pro can have a maximum of 4800Mbps for wireless aimesh backhaul , and both use 4x4 configuration for the second 5ghz dedicated frequency. The only advantage of the ax11000 pro is that you can adjust the positioning of the antenna to give an area a slight advantage of signal, but both units have great beamforming. For my personal preference, i would still choose the ax11000 pro as my main and xt12 as mesh nodes, because of the lan ports available and i want that 10Gb port for my NAS server. (If you are just really concerned about the wireless backhaul, you can't go wrong with either configuration. )

Hi sir, as of now wala pang available sa atin na axe from asus, not sure if when nila i release baka kasi wala pa ding approval ng ntc for the 6ghz wifi network, since need ng approval un by default.. currently nagpadala si Zyxel ng access point na axe, i love the performance in terms of range kaya lang wala akong device pa, para matest ung 6ghz wifi network nya..

Hi sir John, unfortunately not officially available yet in local stores, but I think it will be released somewhere in 2nd quarter of the year.. only the xt8 and regular ax11000 pro are available as of the moment..

I only have the rog rapture and 1 zen wifi. Can I create a mesh network with that, having both the rog rapture and zen wifi as both wifi points, or am I required to have 2 zen wifis in order to take advantage of the mesh?

Hi, Yes you can create a mesh network with that, that is the good thing about ASUS aimesh, regardless of the series ROG\ZenWifi\TUF\RT it can be mixed and match and it will create a mesh network.

@@JKChavez actually, thanks to you I had the confidence to set everything up and it was as easy and just clicking "set up aimesh". In 7 mins every thing was set up and it easily split up the devices that were near by. I have a small apartment, but I game and stream, and I noticed wifi was cutting out even though I'm no more than 20 feet from my rog router. I learned that the wall with the fridge, stove, microwave that was between my room and the router was causing connection issues. So I wanted to have another wireless access point.
