I'm thinking this could be a really good Google Assistant smart display alternative. Maybe even the smaller C223NA instead. I could obviously also pack it up and take it with me if I wanted to. Nothing too intensive would be done on it, I have a custom built PC for that. I really want something for my smart home, but not be as limited as a Google Nest Hub would be.

One problem with the one I order from google shopping is, the speakers are terrible. The audio of a normal youtube video sounds broken. It's more obvious when the volume is loud. I tried to get used to it but finally concluded that I have to return it.

@@Dan-sw8tg Yes, the Acer Aspire runs cool and does not majorly overheat like my Toshiba Satellite. I just dislike the CAPs Locks button on my Aspire cause it is hard to tell if it's on/off. The Acer Aspire's SSD makes the system run faster and start up quicker.

Hi Jase no you don't need to add an antivirus all chromebooks already have security built in, you will have no security problems with this device I'm an 64 year old Microsoft technician and also teach I.t in all its forms and if everyone had chromebooks I would be out of work one of my classes it just for disabled adults who all use different chromebooks with no problems in the last 3 years other than the standard (I forgot my password problems) none of my Microsoft students can say that.

Yes you can but it is a very slimmed down version. Better to use Google docs then convert to Word if needs be. Only trouble with Google Docs is that it is not good for long thesis.
