dear radha, monitor is only one of the factors in the color conundrum. the OS, the application that displays the picture and most importantly the preference of the viewer decides if the colour is "right". I can claim that my OS gives better color saturation, sharpness, contrast and hue than your OS. the perception of color is different for different people. I guess that is why different people prefer different overall color temperature in a picture. many people see color differently in right eye and the left. and to add to confusion, there is the color of the "day light" in which you view the final print. the human eye does not have a fixed white balance. it changes even with the mood. you remember, in the black and white days, we used to crib about the tone of the black and white print. a few extra minutes in the fixer gave a different tone to the print. some liked it sepia, some liked it slightly blueish, some even went for gold tone! our eyes have great latitude in vision and yet it is not perfect. after all we can see only a limited range of colors. How many levels of grey can we see? Ultimately there is no such thing as a perfect color and system.

Thank you for a fantastic overview of this monitor, I am not a designer nor do I make a living that requires such colour accuracy, I just happen to love colour accurate and highest resolution (that I can afford) image for everyday use. Thanks also for mentioning the inbuilt speakers, my current monitor is a pretty colour accurate LG monitor that has really quite good speakers in it and I use it pretty much all day and only switch to earphones in the evening so I don't disturb people, that's if I am not using my hi-fi (during the day) these speakers are really handy as with my current setup, I don't have room under or around my monitor to place external speakers. This monitor is really good but I do wish it came with Dolby Vision compatibility and that the Hz were higher as outside of gaming, if you're watching any video content, the higher Hz effects how smooth the image appears to our eyes. high Hz is not just for gamers. I do want the best possible image so I will be buying a nice glossy Oled but given the risk of burn in and my extremely long hours much of which having a particular twitch channel open that happens to have a bright florescent border around the video content, I'm sure this aspect alone would burn into my monitor if I was to watch using the Oled. So, to get round this, I am going to buy probably this IPS monitor for every day tasks and use the Oled for movies, series, Apple tv 4K box, Bluray player and gaming. Pain in the arse but better than a monitor with permanent burnin.

A useful review. Thank you. I received a 329CRV today replacing a 32" Benq which was starting to die. I will only use it for Content Creation (I am one of the Adobe Community Experts and have been so since 2009). I'd like a better understanding of the USB-C function, specifically about driving it with a MacBook Pro M2 Pro, although the monitor is mainly used with a Windows 11 workstation, but you have put me on the right track I'm thinking. Thanks again.

Agree 100%, my pictures and look much better shown on my iPad than my current 27 monitor. I like the joystick controller in the front of the monitor, instead under the monitor like my current monitor, definitely time to upgrade. Thanks for this video.

Thanks for the review. In order to adjust the height of the monitor when it is on the stand, can you just push it up and down, or do you need to press a knob somewhere to lock it in to place?

Thanks for the video. You said the monitor has 2 x Display Ports, is this one upstream and one downstream. I need to use a Display Port as input from my Tower PC and want to daisy chain (output) from the PA279CRV to a second monitor. Thanks Dave

SAME. We have the same laptop as well. Had it replaced with a new one but the green tint persists. Ended up replacing it with the CV.

@@eldricarpilleda what did you replace? The monitor?
@eldricarpilleda6 ай бұрын
@@pavelchatterjee4424 Yes. Both CRV I tried were brand new yet they have the exact same green cast. I suggest just returning it and replace it with a CV model. They're practically the same. CV model has good colors on mb m3 pro. I don't wonder why no one else is complaining about it.

or just calibrate it using calibrating hardware but that defeats the purpose of it being a "proart" model.

I´m thinking about buying this one for work and ocassional gaming. Is the 60fps limit really only thing bad for gamers?
@bannano41417 ай бұрын
Just so you know the max fps you can get in a game is the hertz of the monitor times two so the max here is probably 120,but no you can still play games very well on a low hertz monitor, most of the time it’s about skill not equipment
