Which color mode is the closest to the Macbook Pro display?

27" is too small for 1:1 4K res. on 16:9. Best res. for this size is 1440p. Especially if you do UI work. To utilize 4K at least "31.1 or preferably 32" is optimal. In that regard my recommendation is the Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 32 4K. This product also has much better Adobe RGB coverage if you do photographic work and the best color accuracy on the market.

This was immensely helpful. I haven't found anyone else who compared them in such a way that you could actually meaningfully see the screens. I'm watching this video on the 1440 version, and your 4K looks much better, even more so when I watch on my Lenovo chromebook. Not even close. All the variables like KZbin compression and my own monitors affect both equally, so having them side-by-side really gives a good comparison.

You have to adjust the settings, the other version has the same sharpness, colour set. The 2 K here is shown blurry worse than in HD

Thnaks for the video! I have one question. I just received my PA279CV. I'm mainly using it for rendering and post processing images in pohtoshop for architectural vizualiation, in another words, images will be seen in screens. The problem is, the standard preset mode looks more vibrant then the sRGB preset mode. The brightness of the sRGB preset is locked. If I drop the brightness of the standard preset to very low, like 10, then it gets almost the same look as the sRGB preset. Why is that? Do you know anything about that? Should I set to the sRGB preset while working?

regarding the question about how warm the screens are - surely this is part of the calibration that helps ensure colour accuracy? after all, screens by default are usually /aggressively/ blue tinted to make whites look extra crisp (at the expense of your eyeballs), in a way that paper and print will never be.

Both Asus and Benq are good choices. They have very good quality. I am still using Asus ProArt after 3 years and very satisfied.

I see many gaming monitors having better AdobeRGB coverage and 100 % SRGB or close at lower prices and much higher HZ. Is there any reason to buy this over a monitor like the Gigabyte M27Q or others? Other than 4K resolution

If you're considering to buy a monitor for gaming, I think this ProArt gamma are not for that. They are more focused in color accuracy for design, photography and content creation

The monitors Like Dell U series, Asus PA series, Benq PD series, and some other brands like Eizo are well known for their color accuracy , some of them are not wide color that means limited to 100% or 99% srgb, and some of them are wide color with full coverage of adobe rgb and dcip-3, whatever they are are tend to be color accurate and having separate color spaces like srgb Dcip3, adobe rgb, or rec 709 etc in monitor menu, Whearas the gaming monitors with wide color wont be accurate , some of them will be accurate though, they are not factory calibrated , but u can use them for professional use if u have a monitor calibrator or if u get the exact color profile that supports the monitor

Is there a big noticeable difference between 4K and QHD on the resolution side? Is it noticeable the pixelation in QHD in normal daily use? Should I wait and buy the 4K?

For the things that I do I don't notice so much difference. And in most of the cases I don't use 4K, keep both in 2K.

Yes, I have the same use case. Right now I'm using the 2022 mcbook 16' M1 Pro and I don't notice any performance issues. By the way, I have now the ProArt PA329 as main monitor, and PA279 as second, both working at the same time and not having issues.

It's the resolution as well. The qv is 2.5k and the cv is 4k. Just google the two and you will find a side by side comparison.

I don't have the calibrator tool but I believe it is possible. And related to user profiles, you can have up to 2 user profiles, plus the standard color palletes provided by ProArt

It dependes on your use case. When I'm editing I use sRGB mode, but when I'm just browsing or preparing work I vary between Standard or Reading mode.
