I loved mine and wish they were still made

I can only imagine a PadPhone successor in 2023. I'm sure it would make a killing on the market , considering it had the correct bells and whistles, and good software. A good screen, good speakers, battery life of at least 2x the phone, so it can act as an extra battery or charger. Oh man, the days when innovation reigned.

After seeing all the folded phones, I'm way more satisfied with the Padfone way back there.

This is still a much better idea than foldable phones. I even sold my Galaxy Fold for an LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case, and I couldn't have been any happier.

You know what this is? This is yet another victim of being way too ahead of its time. Some of us may take Desktop Mode for granted today, but back then? The SoC performance was terrible. Also, there was no such thing like Android 12L, which combines the usability of phones and tablets together.

I would LOVE something like this. Phones have gotten way too big. I hate carrying a device around that doesn't fit in my pocket. But I'd love having the option of a bigger screen when I need it, without needing a whole separate device, a separate date plan or having to jump through the hoops of tethering, etc.

I had one of those. Was the best or two worlds! A great idea that didn't make any splash unfortunately. It was before its time

I think I had this exact model, black one tho, it was a blast and even pretty fast as a phone, I was a child still and used it only to play games. Anyway it's incredible I found a video this recent on this, just wondering what people thought of this device back then and found this, earned a new sub

You should also include about Motorola Atrix and Nexdock and compare the solutions. What if these solutions are given today? The Android platform *might* be more suitable today as it may have adapted to flexible applications due to split view, floatingdisplays, foldable phones, etc.

I did review of the nexdick, but man, I think this thing won't stand a chance because foldables serve a better purpose even though they still suck when it comes to apps compatibility.

I had two. The best phone i ever had. Unfortunatly i cracked the glass and the glass was the touch screen so didnt work anymore. I almost want to revive it but ate you saying there is no way to make it work today causee of the operative system?
@casualtechreviewer11969 ай бұрын
I'm sure you can revive it if you could fix that touch screen. It's just that most software/apps aren't supported anymore and any working ones in Google Play store are few and far between.
