Best TV I’ve owned. I did some adjustments from KZbin TV Techs for this Sony TV They were good but still not perfect so I turned up the Black levels a little bit because I thought the TV was too Dark then I turned the color level back below 50 because it was a little too bright for colors. Now I have the Most Natural Color TV I've ever seen. The Picture is Clear & Bright and skin tones are Natural. It took a little effort and thinking but now I have a Great Looking Picture. I have a 48" A90K , What a Great Picture.

Thank you for your review. I agree that Sony's processing basically negates any advantages the LG has. I decided to buy the A90K and use it as my computer monitor. So far I am loving it, bit I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making a video on the settings you prefer for gaming.

I had the Neo G7, and that Anti Glare and 1000R curve killed the monitor. I wanted the PG42UQ, but that anti glare coating just kills the picture quality. With that said I purchased the A90K for gaming and workflow, and it’s well worth the money if your gonna pay $1500 for the PG42UQ 🤷‍♂️😎.

Yep I agree with you. OLED needs to have a glossy screen. Plus I feel like the brightness from HDR gaming will make most of the reflections go away. I have a 42" C2 and was interested in the ASUS as it's more of a PC monitor but the price difference is too much for some flaws as well like a matte screen. I got my C2 for a few weeks now for only $1K. I was thinking of the A90K too but I have another my A80J in the same room so I didn't want an remote issues. I feel like the A90K is more of a TV first vs the C2. I like the game optimizer features and the aspect ratio control as well. The C2 has a full glossy screen as well and not a semi gloss one like the A90K. I'm sure sound is better on the A90K but that doesn't matter to me as I will be using headphones most of the time anyways.

Was deciding between this monitor and the C2- Decided on the C2 for the glossy panel and TV apps. Also, have owned LG products for years and they are pretty good to deal with when it comes to software updates and warranty. I've heard ASUS aren't the easiest to deal with when it comes to warranty as well.

I agree with him about pricing also the matte finish can be a deal breaker. I pre ordered this pg42ug monitor pure for consoles series X & Ps5, I also play in a dark room. I’m a lights off type of person in my home 🤷🏼‍♂️ and the response time on this monitor, you can adjust the picture I believe 24” or 27” when playing a hardcore shooter like call of duty. 2 hdmi 2.1 ports 👍 OLED. The LG c2 is hella nice but can’t adjust screen picture size and not as responsive as this asus. To each there own

@@tallguyericreviews I'm ignoring pricing as if it doesn't matter. Going into c2s service menu voids your warranty and i read its abl is real aggressive. How's the gaming experience on all 3? Woodfield in fps gaming. You also must remember you are comparing a monitor(in the asus) to tvs. It is natural for the tvs to have more calibration settings that monitors. You have to be able to discern that and not let it influence your opinion on the asus. Which is why Asus has the monitor pre calibrated prior to boxing it up. I understand that we'd like more calibration options... but is it any different from any other monitor? Imho(no).

The higher refresh rate (138 vs 120 hz) is a very big upgrade. It may not sound like a lot, but that's pretty significant. All that being said, if they'd just make the next LG C3 144hz, I'd pay a premium for it.

Not even a little lol. I honestly barely even noticed a difference between going from a Lg 165hz 4k to the Oled 120hz which is very likely due to the insanely fast response time of the oleds. I did notice that the g8 neo 240hz felt smoother but still not significant due to the panel technology difference.

@@tallguyericreviews Thank you so much Eric. Would you say the A90K's image superiority and XR was worth it over the C2 for just PC gaming? I guess C2 has more gaming features, but I don't think the A90K would have a worse gaming experience once set up, if anything better?

@@therealpureessence2437 In terms of PC only gaming they're very similar. The C2 does have better overall functions for pc, as well as a faster input lag. The sonys upscaling really comes in to play with consoles as you'll want to turn most of it off for pc gaming for the best input lag.

Initially I had some regrets not waiting for the PG42UQ, but I've really been enjoying the C2. Paired with my 3090ti, it's been next level. Having lurked on r/oled-gaming and seeing videos like yours, I definitely have reduced my FOMO over not waiting to the PG42UQ.
