thank you for the video. The important thing thay you didn't mentioned was the light bleeding which it was very obvious in the video 5:20 . I recently purchased an ASUS 5K pa27jcv, but I returned it because of the light bleeding and poor build quality. My regret is that I paid $850 for it.

I should have this monitor tomorrow so I'll test it with my Mac mini. It was £291 so it's even cheaper. :)

Glad to read this @osembit, that's a proper bargain! Had it now for 3 days and I'm really impressed! The Mac mini will go well with it and also make a very clean setup on the desk🌟 - enjoy :)

@@4TLOC I changed my order to a smaller Asus PA24ACRV, the price is similar but it has better colors 95% DCI-P3 :) I hope I won't regret it

@@osembit You are right the PA24ACRV covers 95% DCI P3 over the significant lower 86% coverage of the PA279CV. Most of the time I use the EIZO as my reference Monitor, since I wanted a high resolution display for the editing timeline and tools. I think it was a good choice if you are happy with the 24inch and QuadHD resolution. (I´m using a QHD BenQ every day at work and its great. Also, with less resolution, your Mac Mini will perform most tasks faster, since 4K can really eat into the performance.

@@4TLOC The monitor arrived. The image quality is great compared to my standard monitor :) qhd is quite a good resolution for 24 inches. Now I have to wait for my mini desk to finish my mini workspace :)

Sorry but seeing from my Apple Studio Display I can see the colour shift of the Asus can not compare to the Eizo. If you have limit budget then choose Asus ProArt, but if you need top of the quality choose Eizo.

@midorihibiki thank you for the feedback. I agree, after having used the monitor now for a couple of weeks i start to notice the shortcomings of a budget panel. I still use the Eizo CG247 as my reference monitor and I use the Asus PA279CV mainly for timeline, scopes etc, where the UHD resolution allows for a better experience. Apple Studio Displays and Eizo Color edge monitors are far superior in many ways compared to the PA279CV For full-time pros looking to buy a Main monitor, on which their entire income relies on, I would also suggest an Eizo, like the CG2700X or a higher tier ASUS MINI LED Panel like the PA32UCG-K or PA32UCX-PK

Thank you for the video. Great insight as I'm looking to get one. Just as a side note, please loosen up man. I know the channel is still new and you want to start off strong and professional but you're very stiff like a robot 😅
