Love how people are finally getting over the OLED honeymoon phase. Sure it has perfect blacks, but it's not that great of a difference between an excellent LCD and OLED display overall.
@Yucci2 ай бұрын
It's actually a very big difference, but the thing is you'll be happy with a good LCD too. OLEDs offer a lot more than just how they look, OLED panels also appear smoother with less latency among other things such as being sharper than LCD panels due to the contrast

@@Yucci it's not "a very big difference." You're wasting your time as I own both displays.

YES I made the switch and I’m glad I’m game on the ally x now . The steam deck is a phenomenal device but it’s underpowered. I also can play all my game with the ally x

Because it's windows when you put windows on deck it will run all games but less smooth than luinx

Ally and allyx had too much time after steamdeck release to improve upon. Wait for next gen APUs and sd2. Allyx isn't so much value for money over sd.

@ultrasalted and ally age is so short they made ally z2 coming so ally x is dead asus made pc handheld looks shorter than android gaming phone

Ally x design is power not like people imaged not huge different than deck and oled screen made deck looks more advanced, ally x screen size and lcd looks like deck lcd without two tuchpad

Nah, I had Steam Deck Lcd back then before I upgraded to Ally X. Ally Xs screen even though its Lcd is top tier, it has very premium feel to it. And is alot more crisp and higher resolution than the Steam deck lcd. Steam deck lcd sometimes look pixelated and mushy. Valve really needed to come out with OLED.
@evilcrashbandicootthetouho27533 ай бұрын
@GeeYhan after all asus failed to destroy valve steam deck haha ally today new ally tomorrow and this what's happened to ally fan's when they feel the orgianl ally and z1 was totally dead same now when ally z2 comes ally x will me something from the past , not even snapdragon phone dead that fast unlike steam deck was in 2021 and deck 2 will be in 2027 because valve gives deck more console feel and customers can use it for longer years which make even deck lcd still okay today seriously ally z2 in 2025 ?! And the device warranty is like trolling you with the 200$ thing
@Goeers2063 ай бұрын
@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 How is it dead? Asus releasing the Ally X shortly after the original Ally is no different than Steam releasing the Oled version shortly after the original steam deck. Fan boy much?
@nathanjuan60423 ай бұрын
@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 Even the original ally is better than the deck OLED. Deck has nothing to offer other than the touchpad which is not even a big deal. Deck has a lot of limitation which is very turn off on a PC perspective. Reason to play on PC is to not lock down on one platform if I'm just gonna lock myself then I'll just rather buy a switch which has the same screen 720p as the deck. Deck can't play gamepass which is already a big deal, Gforcenow, and other platform heck you can't even plug it to EGPU.

@nathanjuan6042 ally is trash , bad design less buttons old lcd screen no warranty wired plastic from ww2 it's just pocophonf1 with pc windows I even found psp vita better than ally x which. Makes ally was failed device because they made more models unlike steam deck from 2021 and they will made deck 2 in 2027 because they new nothing can beat steam deck about FHD screen you will never see it on tiny screen this need 10+ screen to see it , Microsoft herself mocked ally about this point

I bought ally x and tested everything I played on the steam deck, my choice remains for the steam deck, in many ways
@GadgetGuardians6693 ай бұрын
@@JalilovTimur Yeah, it depends what games you tested. Probably you got used to low resolution games and don’t play AAA games. Cause there’s no way you’ll try the Ally X and then go back to Stean Deck. Can you explain why? 🙂

@@GadgetGuardians669 I played mostly relatively old games, but all these games went worse on rog, maybe because of windows, but I don't know for sure yet, but for example on steam deck I play fallout 4, put everything on ultra, do lock at 45fps/45hz and I have a smooth frametime, on rog ally I have it drops to 29fps, then the game go go town, on the steam deck it slows down for the first 5 minutes, then it goes super smoothly, on rog it constantly stutter, but there are games that definitely go smoother on rog ally, but there are fewer of them. This is a small part that I will note, there are other problems, but it needs to be a separate topic to create :). Another thing that doesn't suit me is the small screen, it's much smaller for me than on the steam deck, ergonomics and grip, it's a little more comfortable on SD, it's lighter, lt/rt is much more comfortable in your hand on sd than on ally, vrr works poorly, not like on a regular monitor, it's bigger it creates problems, and this is the first thing I bought for and was very disappointed in vrr on ally. it's completely inconvenient to reach for the Y button, and I can go on for a long time :) as for the resolution, when I was running the tests, I made identical settings for the tests, but even in this case, I left ally with 17w and SD with 15w and still SD worked more smoothly. I apologize for the mistakes, English is not my native language
