Same lagging problem on Strix G17 (not because of speakers ) , it just happens randomly anytime . Temporary fix that works for me is by disabling, enabling touchpad with dedicated button on keyboard.

Having the exact same type of lag on my 2022 Asus G14, this time when USB C PD charging. Going to return it and hopefully a replacement doesn't have this issue.

doesn't work, also the interference is kinda ridicolous cause the wire can't interfere when no signal is passing through it, and it wouldn't make it last for minutes... don't try to do this as it won't work and it will only make you lose warranty, wish I didn't try this myself and I could still send the laptop back and get another one

Interference happens exactly when audio system is in use. And In fact this solution works for that exact scenario. Furthermore this is the one of the ASUS support team solutions to the problem (to isolate the audio cable). Quote from the email: "The problem is caused by interference from the audio cable of the speakers. The only way is to shield the cable and ground it. " Edit: If it doesn't work for you case - just means that you have different problem. This particular case can be checked by unplugging SPK (speaker) header from the motherboard to insure that audio system not causing any problems with touchpad.

@@HomaFromPTZ in my case the issue appears randomly, I'm playing sounds through speakers and everything is fine, but if I touch the settings it just starts lagging

@@AlexYaga like I said, that means you have a different problem. Unfortunately there are a lot of issues with the latest ASUS laptops as of my experience. Try to check the touchpad on the Linux/Ubuntu (you can use live usb), if the issue persists - it's the hardware problem (interference, improper grounding or malfunctioning touchpad itself), in other case - software (corrupted OS, drivers, bios, ACPI/USB power settings). At least you always can try to reach ASUS support via email or just straight RMA.
