Asus really need to make better in the quality. When you tell about the flex in the lid, I can tell you .. don't buy it. I baught an Asus ROG Strix some years back and the quality simply isn't good enough. If there is flex in the lid, there is also flex in the top / keyboard / touchpad which means it will trigger keys or touchpad if you lean your hand just slightly on the top while typing. I specificly went for a top i7 for the perf and good fate in Asus Quality, and was utter disapointed. You really have to check this out in a store before buying Asus ROG. You think this is their top tier models, but they make some major blunders on some models. I havn't seen this model in stores so can't say if it's good or bad, but if you want to pay premium money for a premium top product, please do proper research before buying, or you may regret your investment down the road. Do check if the top around the keyboard and touch pad seem to be flexing when put some presure on it. If it do stay away from it.

Just so everyone knows, you can upgrade to 64gbs of Ram. I did that and added a 2TB SSD. If you do, this laptop will smoke most laptops over $2500 and many over $3000 if you add a good cooling pad. It's quiet and extremely powerful.

Its a killer products, has amazing battery life, MUX switch, above average Graphics card (Rtx 3050 but only 4gb vram😪), the best IGPU I've ever seen (RX 680m),strong Build quality. @@littleregrets8810 I got it with rtx 3050 ti. I don't have a mux switch tho. The 3060 has more vram (2 gb more) but it was a bit pricey and I was on a very tight budget and stretched it a bit with this. The Zephyrus line is pretty good too you can check that out. I got my ryzen 7 with a 4000 series chip but you can check out for 6000. I am pretty sure they have a 6000 series one too. I got in the 1tb ssd variant other models from other companies usually came in 512 gb so a 1tb ssd is pretty dope I'd say. I did not know about the iGpu but if what you say is true Amd makes some pretty good chips. Is it better than Iris Xe??.

after doing so many researchs of gaming laptops, this is the best gaming laptop for gamers. THIS IS HOW GAMING LAPTOP DONE RIGHT. next year nvidia and amd will release new gen gpus for gaming laptop which the rumored performances already leaked by strong sources which also provided extremely close to that of nvidia new gen desktop gpus rtx 4090 performances leaks for months before it got released. its said the next gen gaming laptop gpus next year whether its from nvidia rtx 4000 or amd rx 7000, the perfomances of both will be equal to that of desktop rtx 3090 and rx 7950xt ! thats insane. 2k 120 fps on gaming laptop next year will finally be possible and more importantly 1080p 180 fps max settings for demanding competitive games like division and division 2 will finally be possible as well. just worried about the price though....480 hz gaming monitors or laptop screens still in developement but its been for a while now since last 2 years, and developement for ddr6 ram just started around 2 months ago. nvidia rtx desktop TI version also in development last week. crazy how tech progressing, so fast.

I have this model, and some older models were able to use 64 GBs ddr4,but asus never tested it, so their "recommendation" is to use their max capacity at 32 GB ddr5 for 2022 edition. Saying that the display of the laptop is "not a true" IPS panel is not quite correct because "IPS" is a trademark, (by LG / Samsung --- if I recall correctly). The panel is most likely using the same technology as the "IPS" panels made by the trademark owners, except that they are built by a different company. That is why if you check the laptop specs, it is marked as "IPS-Level" instead of just IPS.

You can set the laptop to stop charging at a set % of your choice. I have set mine to stop charging at 60% battery, as I almost always have my laptop plugged in

guys I have this laptop but i use it for my architecture softwares. i have been facing an issue where the screen suddenly turns off but the keyboard is on. I'm very confused between this and the new Legion 5 Pro. I'm mostly looking forward to gaming, coding and light photo/video editing. I also want it to be a bit portable which means battery life is important. With the G15 specced with Ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3070 Ti, an FHD 300hz display and Legion 5 Pro specced with Ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3070/3070 Ti, a QHD 165Hz display which one do you recommend getting?

If both laptops have the same components at the same price, then G15 still have the bigger battery. Also they sell g15 with (2560 x 1440 WQHD IPS 165 Hz) display as well, but I think with fewer nits, so Lenovo does have the brighter display and will be better for outdoor use. This last thing might affect battery use as well and Lenovo display might drain a little faster the battery but probably not by a great margin. All in all it depends if you want the bigger and better display in Lenovo, or the 10-15% better battery and also 200 grams lighter G15. Also Lenovo case might feel better quality as well, because most of it is aluminium, not the case with Strix G15. I hope this is helpful if the owner of the channel doesn't reply you.

So if all depends on the battery life and build quality, then probably the g15 (best battery and overall still a great build quality), but i should mention that some reviews online and also videos here suggest that it has high gpu and cpu temperatures when gaming. This might be reparable by changing the thermal compound, as some people suggests that the original is not of a good quality, but it might also be a design problem. I suggested in the deleted post to look for asus tuf F15 (2022) with the new i7-12700H, 3070 and FHD , because of a great overall performance, but it will have a faster drain on the battery and probably a little less gaming performance as well compared to G15.

@@canprata I got it. It’s very nice laptop for music production. I also can play some games on it like five m , fm 2023, counter strike go, etc. I use fl 21 , Ableton, reason, etc. it handles everything perfectly with my focusrite audio interface

@@canprata I ended up not installing 32GB ram due to warranty isssues. 16GB is fine as well, no issues so far
