Yeah it is such a great feeling you get when you fix electronics and prevent them from heading to a landfill. The opposite is just as strong. Deep sorrow when you botch an electronic device while trying to fix one issue.

@northridgefix this is my laptop. First off thank you for fixing it correctly. This laptop was sent to a local (who states he is a genius). My issue was the battery wasn't charging when plugged in. When he said it was unfixable, I asked why? Then I see this video and realized why. He ripped the connector off. This is a fairly new laptop. Thank you for the video to prove he is no genius. I plan on getting reimbursed from him.

How long does a job like this take? Is it worth getting my zephyrus g15 repaired? I’m willing to spend anywhere from $100-$300 on a job like this. I can repair the laptop myself but I don’t want to replace the entire board. Possibly bundle in my dead pixel in the display and the double spacing keyboard for the repair😬

I think I have the same laptop “asus g14” with the same broken power connector. I think I need to call and schedual a repair. What does something like this cost? just a rough estimate would be great.

Where I live, no one would tell you to keep the broken motherboard and no one would want to pay the repair attempt fee. People only want to pay when it is fixed, if it is not fixed they say it is your problem.
@apple_unlocking_services30043 жыл бұрын
thats why in my shop we have diagnostics fee must be paid upfront & telling the customer it’s nonrefundable of course it’s really hard to take money out of the customer when giving them the computer not fixed you want to charge the fee on day one
@davidlguerr3 жыл бұрын
@@apple_unlocking_services3004 As long as you have enough customers willing to pay upfront, you can do business that way. I can only charge upfront to order parts, if I tell customers that they need to pay upfront and nonrefundable in case of no repair, no one would accept. There are other competitor's not doing that, so people do have choice around here.
@todornikolov20633 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha. You bring me computer with liquid spill on it. I've finish diagnostic and I can fix your computer with motherboard, keyboard replacement. You said NO and take notebook unfixed. So, why I should work for free for you? No way. I will spent few hours for disassembly, diagnostics, testing components.. for free? Hell no. If you don't want to pay for diagnostic, you should not broke your computer...
