you know cat6 can handle up to 10 Gb/s right? lol dont "need" a cat 8. I would def rec cat 6 sftp cables just because they ultimately offer the greatest protection against interference and crosstalk

Not trying to be a jerk haha, just know that Cat 6 is still pretty good for what it is, Im sure if you really want to min/max every last bit of your network it certainly never hurts to go that route.

I don't own a RT-AX86U, but what I can tell is that the GT-AX11000 is so good, I have it for a while, and it works like a god.

Depends, in most situations the RT-AX86U will give you great performance and you won't notice the difference with the GT-AX11000. The biggest difference is that the GT-AX11000 is tri-band so you have a 5GHz band extra. Also speed on 2.4GHz is higher if that matters to you. I went for the GT-AX11000 because in the future I might go for an AiMesh setup and the extra 5GHz band I can use for a dedicated backhaul. the cat6 can support 10-Gigabit, but it also depends on what internet speed you have.

i recently just change to this router and before i was getting speed of at least 800 mbps but after changing to this router i would be lucky to get even 700mbps. do u know what cause this? i thought this was suppose to be some super router or something so i expected it to be as good or better then the router i use before this one.

No it does not support fiber (SFP modules is what i think you mean) Ive had this router for many years now but a year ago i switched to a Dell Poweredge R220 running pfSense, the AX11000 is just a wifi AP now.

You are clueless, the GT-AX11000 is better, faster in every aspect it's not even close. Maybe Google wifi has better range being a mesh system. But fear not, combine the GT-AX11000 with another ASUS router and you can have a Mesh setup too. Combine it with a tri-band ASUS router and you have a dedicated backhaul leaving the full bandwith for the other two bands.
