I don't know about you, but overclocking my Zotac AMP 2060 was a bit more difficult than I expected it to be. Coming from AMD cards pretty much exclusively, I'm used to the cards running at the frequency stated out of the box. Not with this Zotac. This card is rated for 1800 boost clock out the box, but it was running up to 2025Mhz without me even touching it. I figured this was the Nvidia GPU Boost I kept hearing so much about. In all actuality it made it really hard to tell what was going on with the overclock for me. I was only able to apply a 25mhz boost to the core clock in Afterburner before it got unstable, and the boost sometimes ran 2055, and other times would hit 2085, max temps of 72C. Memory overclocked like a champ though, I was able to max out the slider with a full 1000 over the base memory clock. Sadly Afterburner wouldn't let me add voltage or set a custom fan curve as both those options were locked out for some reason on this card. So I left it alone and called it a day. All in all I can't say I'm disappointed, as 25mhz boost seems very unimpressive on the surface, but when it's hitting a full 285mhz higher than it's rated boost clock altogether, I can't really complain at all! It was just a different, slightly confusing at first, situation compared to what I'm used to. 🤷♂️😂👍 In any event, love the video as usual, keep the great content flowing!

Nice review as usual Steve, but I would have liked to see what the actual performance improvement with the OC in place would be in a game, and also how much more power it consumes with OC. As for added value with the ROG card, the case fan connectors could also have been mentioned, a nice little feature in my opinion. And also when comparing any RTX2060 to RTX2070, the missing USB-C VR-Link on RTX2060 should be mentioned. As it turns out, there might also be reduced options for DLSS, as in Metro Exodus, which should also be mentioned, as DLSS is a "feature" a lot of Nvidia fans seem to care a lot about.

Don't know if you guys would be interested in this, but apparently there's this issue out there with multi-monitor setups. I've read that when you have a 144hz + 60hz setup, the refresh-rate of the higher refresh monitor will be brought down to the that of the lower spec-ed one, whenever hardware accelerated media is being viewed on the lower refresh one, e.g, if you're playing a game on the 144hz monitor, and you open up a KZbin video on the 60hz monitor, the 144hz monitor will only refresh at 60hz. Would you be willing to investigate this?

8GB alone dont mean anything, its more about Memory Bandwidth & Memory Speed. The 20XX Series is noticable faster there, and faster transfer means overall smoother & better FPS plus there is less to store in the VRAM. For comparison, a GTX 1070 has nearly identical specs compared to the 2060, same CUDA-Core count, Default Clockspeeds are totally in the same range, not much difference except for the VRAM. There its 8.0 Gbps (1070) vs 14 Gbps (2060), the 2060 is using GDDR6 instead of GDDR5 and has roughly 25% more Memory Bandwidth. Means: The 6 GB VRAM of the 2060 are more efficient, and never as "stuffed" as with a 8GB GTX 1070.

Could You test RTX 2060 for ITX build - I can not find Zotac Mini / MSI Areo / Asus Phoenix? Gigabyte Mini already known as noise maker.
is this card any different from the non oc version

My brother bought two of these cards and had to return both because they both had really bad coil whine.

Its great and all but it costs whopping 550$ in my country, i bought Palit GamingPro OC for 423$, asus went NUTS with this generation palit is quiet and temps are at 71°C with 2040-55 Mhz Core boost, only thing id like to have is back plate and to remove that crappy led bar in front as its bright as sun and cannot be (officially) permanently disabled unless you disconnect cable as i did :)

This card cost me $500(cheapest price some even went $600) when most of the 2060 in my country cost $400 to $450 but its worth it i get+ 240mhz OC with my core clock and +900mhz and my temperature is very cool 67c max on benchmark and it rarely hits 60c when playing games. And my case's airflow suck
