Don’t forget that the ps5 pro and consoles in general are all power limited due to the limited small form factor. This would limit performance when compared to a dedicated desktop 7800xt.

It’s still mind boggling to me how much Nvidia is charging for their Gpus considering how little memory they have unless you drop 1500 + for a 4090. For me, I’d be stupid if I didn’t upgrade to team red especially considering I mostly only play COD and Tarkov.

I bought 7900 XTX at launch 20% cheaper than 4080 at the time, i've been pretty satisfied with the purchase at that price difference. 50% of the reason was the price gouging by Nvidia, 50% was price difference in relation to performance.

30:11 No, just no. It's just converting a transparant code into a magic blackbox. It's a terrible mindset. AMD should make good hardware at a good price point with transparant software, that's it. Nvidia memory compression is way more aggressive than AMD. That's why you will see less usage in Nvidia GPUs.

i7 13700KF, 16GB ram, 4070ti using the HUB Quality +RT with DLSS 75% and FG I benchmarked 88 fps average and a low of 77fps, gsync monitor. These settings are perfect and it runs very smooth in-game. Thanks for making this video.

One thing zotac is known for is their sff single fan gpus. Only reason I have a zotac card is my need for single fan sff 4060. The smaller companies tend to dabble in odd form factor cards.

I still don´t like your "power" message as is not reflecting real scenario. In pass your data for intel processors were "crazy" and even here it is "gaming in 1080" on high end. I can see this power usage on my 14700k when I am rendering (and in that case it will be 2x faster then r9700x), but in gaming I have max 135W. Of course not in 1080p. And on other daily use like watching your YT video that power consumption on intel is much less then on amd.

You would have to be kinda crazy to buy console hardware off the shelves and then install Windows in it which is likely the biggest limiting factor and the biggest source of issues related to computers. The purposely built OS that consoles have is often an overlooked advantage those devices have over pc when it comes to gaming because Windows often gets in the user's way instead of just being an operating system and allowing you to do what you want or need to do. With consoles you don't have to worry about your antivirus software performing scans or the operating system kickstarting telemetry and hogging system resources

I hate that software based rendering has become such a core part of nvidia cards but, at the end of the day if you turn on RT DLSS and frame gen these charts flip dramatically, and the increased vram will future proof it way past the 4070ti’s life cycle 🤷‍♂️

From what I have seen with the X870E boards, most are only 6 layer PCB and they advertise 8 layer has Low Loss PCB and 6 Layer has Mid Loss PCB. Like the Gigabyte boards all the way up to just below the master are 6 Layer PCB where the B650 boards like the B650 AORUS ELITE WIFI even came with 8 layer Low Loss. From all I have noticed they look better made but they cheeped out on the PCB layer's where you will get signal loss.

28:45 unfortunately AMD must have a price discount just because of brand name. Having feature parity will help but it won't erase the fact that they do not have market share. These are real forces in the market. Both brand name and market presence are forces that have to be priced into the product. Basically, AMD, listen. You need to produce a product that is mostly equal, provides more long-term benefit, in other words more memory and bandwidth, and feature parity, and even then because you are behind in the market presence, and you don't have real brand name recognition other than, you know back when a few years ago when their drivers sucked... All of that requires that you reduce the price for an equivalent product that is in certain ways a longer termed better product, at a 15% discount. Presently, you're not even there, it shouldn't even be 20%. The fact is you're going to have to eat it for two generations if you do everything right, everything I've mentioned, before you actually manage to look at price parity. Good luck, just to let you know, I'm actually one of those people who buys AMD graphics, for gaming. But only when it's available, and only when the price is good enough for all of the minuses, both real and perceived. For work though, I have to use Nvidia. CP 2077 has support now for FSR 3, which looks horrible, flashing light anomalies, dithering, bluriness. FSR 4 has to be better? I have tested many games with FSR and most look horrible, maybe it will get better now but Intel's XeSS is already better at version 1.3.1 and has been using machine learning from its inception. I have tested the Xess updates in CP using Ultra Performance and it looks amazing and the FPS is close to what you get with FSR Frame Generation. I will test again once Xess adds frame generation. Im testing on an Arc A770, I will also test on an Amd 6800 XT.

i read leak from Product Decription of PS5pro, that it's going to have "RDNA2 GPU equivalent of Rx6800" I'm still curious about CPU part, if it's going to be unchanged from regular PS5, which would be a shame in era of cheap Ryzen 5700x3d. I find FSR 3 to be pretty good already, and restarting with an AI approach with better results will be hard to achieve. But why not just improve FSR 3 with AI ? This way an improvement is guaranteed, and it should be easier to both develop and implement by game developers than a completely new approach.

Intel has released new microcode update to fix the root cause of its stability problems with 13th and 14th gen CPUs for the third time: 0x125 microcode in June, 0x129 in August and the 0x12B yesterday. Who knows, there may still be more in the coming months. Using Core i7-14700K, a product with inherent stability issues, for benchmarking against a stable competing CPU is not quite fair.

PS5 was not like a 3070, it was like a 5700 or a 2070 Super, the PS5 PRO will most likely fall way under 7800xt performance in raster but will be better in raytracing, it will be something like a 3070ti most likely.
