ATTENTION TO ALL PEOPLE GOING TO BUY THE M16! What most people aren't talking about is the issue of how this device and the best buy models are getting BRICKED after updates to its BIOS. I personally ordered one and returned it because playing Russian roulette with an expensive system is not a game I could afford. There is thread in reddit which you can find and there are reports of many people who have undergone a BIOS update and in the end were stuck in a boot loop and essentially bricked their devices. To make things worse even the replacement units are affected by this issue. Please don't trust the positive reviews of it. And if you are getting one make sure you are covered under warranty.

Ordered this a month ago (I am uin the UK) as all the US reviews only had the 3060, I'm both relieved and excited to hear that the 3070 seems to be a much better fit for this display. Did you look inside? do you know if they're shipping it with a PCIe 4.0 SSD or 3.0 (even though it's 4.0 capable?

I try and stick to 'real life' experience with devices as much as I can, but know people expect some benchmarking with gaming laptops, and trying to strike that balance to not make it too numbers focussed.

@Srinivas Arasu what's wrong with you? How little research do you do for yourself. A laptop 3070 can run those at 4k max settings. Those games are joke in terms of hardware requirements. I hate those games, don't play them, and even I already know this basic info.

there are reviews by dave and matthew moniz now, but idk man imo this is better, its lighter its more sleek its screen is more color accurate (not sure tho dave2d said its 100% AdobeRGB+ 490 nits but matthew said 79% + 600nits) and its not as loud as the acer, what do u think?

Would you recommend buying this or the Lenovo Legion 7? They are about the same price but the Lenovo one has better specs (32GB RAM, AMD 7, RTX 3070). I'm not sure, however, if this translates in real life performance.

not comparable, the xps is half the thickness. I've been using XPS laptops for 12 years, theyre premium & thin but overheat like crazy you can't pull anywhere close to the performance of something thick like the M16 before it overheats & throttles like crazy. Just not the same class at all its like trying to compare a pickup truck and a sedan

Matte Screen Vs. Glossy Screen, I am sending back my second XPS 15 9510 due to eye strain issues (UHD+) and nausea issues (OLED). Your results will of course vary. Definitely try out the XPS in a store first.

It's hot alright. I went to have a hands on with one in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The whole keyboard and chassis was hot just from sitting there idle all day. Not a good look when the G14 adjacent to it with the AMD 5900S was cool to the touch all across the keyboard and case. The 11th series Intel processors run very warm for the power they produce and suck too much battery. That screen looked huge and was super crisp, though.

It does, especially if similar specced. The i9 allows for higher clockspeeds, making this thing better than the g15 with rtx 3080 graphics. Also, better screen and webcam. It doesn’t have the battery life tho...

I just ordered the exact model with i7 11800h 3060 from asus japan , maybe the 3060 wont do much like 2k gaming but i think it’s perfect for both gaming and content creators, especially the screen is just so good

@@Messi10billy gaming performance was great with 1080 and you might have low down the settings for better performance and frame rate if you play in 2k resolution but still it can keep up with no problems at all, about cpu the i7 is also good , i think this i7 11800h version in asia is as good as r9 5900hs (g15)
