ASUS TUF A15 (2023) Review | Ryzen 7 7735 HS | RTX 4050

I currently have had the RTX 4060 model of this laptop and had this since September 2023 for around £989 UK It was a little more expensive than other models of its price category, but after my own research and actually using it long term and even for a two week trip to New York, I have to say it's perhaps one of the best bang for buck laptops and more than half a year later I've yet to find any true faults with it as it fills the niches I need it to do as a portable device. In my personal testing, I could certainly get it to last upwards of 6-8 hours with the RTX 4060 disabled and some tuning for power savings running on a KZbin playlist. With wifi off you can potentially make it last longer for work related stuff. With some tweaks you can even keep the CPU under 80C in even the most demanding of scenarios while still maintaining good performance. A second M.2 SSD slot was a big factor in me choosing it, especially if you wanna cram as many games as possible.

Using this laptop since last 5 months. i got this laptop from Amazon at 89k INR 89k for RTX 4050(140w), Ryzen 7 7735hs and 16GB DDR5 Dual Channel RAM ❤️‍🔥 just worth it. Some points that i didn't like about this laptop (But Manageable 🙃) 1st - 512 GB Gen4 SSD's Read-write speeds are not Exactly Like gen 4.. and eaten by 2 3 games like GTA 5 FH5 RDR2. 2nd - the display is colour accurate (100%sRGB) but brightness is only 250nits. 3rd - 720p webcam. Still it was a great deal for me because performance wise no issue.

3:36 Showing us how it sounds like that is useless. The microphone quality will change how it sounds and then youtube compression also changed is. And finally my own speakers will change it as well. Very good video. I’m thinking of getting this laptop or HP Victus for my brother. The HP Victus is on sale here and is just 100 € more expensive but it also has RTX4060 and intel 12500h. I’m just little concerned about the temps. What should I do?

I am glad u like the video. I my opinion, if you are looking at raw performance, go for victus as i5 12500H is not thatfar behind ryzen 7 7735hs and rtx 4060 is better than 4050 with 2 gb more vram. But overall, considering looks, features, built, temps, i would go for Tuf as i dont believe you are going to use full extent of 4060 anyways and 4050 should do the job well too. So why spend extra on victus which has lesser features than TUF.

The Helios 16 can only be upgraded to 32GB, and I can't say for Gen Zs or other younglings, but I couldn't give a rats @$$ about the RGB, it has no practical implications whatsoever, I've used a Katana GF66 Katana, sold it, no issues except the fact that it's noisy (during cooling) and crappy batter life and only 1 SSD slot. I used the TUF F15 with the 1650gtx card and i5 10300H, which a gave to someone it has a good battery life compared to all the other gaming laptops ive had, it was accidentally dropped it on floor from the table (don't try this at home), still works, I've used the F17 with the i5 12500H and RTX 3050, no issues with it whatsoever, even ran wow classic wotlk on 3 accounts simultaneously (in 3 windows) it performed quite well with a cooling pad, also tested the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 with i5 11320H and the gtx 1650, it's fine for begginer gamers, also someone dropped a heavy glass vase with lots of seashells inside on it from more than 1 meter higher than the laptop was positioned (so it was 3kg+), had to disassemble it and replace the keyboard 😂 and reassemble it, so it's quite sturdy 😅 The point im trying to convey is I've read and watched a few reviews on the all the gaming laptops, and based on my experience in the last 2 years I'd go for the TUF 15 which is being reviewed on this video, since it has good performance, it's sturdy and reliable and can be upgraded to 64GB RAM and an extra SSD 😅

If you still haven't bought anything, I really don't recommend buying anything from hp, they have soooo many QC issues both short and long term. Along with their really mediocre build quality, it just makes for an expendable laptop really. I would know as a PC repair man assistant.

Cant really recommend on such short info, but i would go for strix g16 or helios neo 16 if you REALLY like gaming, streaming. But if u wanna do casual gaming, 1 or 2 hr a day, asus tuf f15 for 1200 seems enough. But again the info is too little for me to Decide, like whats the cpu, what features are important for u, what temps u usually deal with, rgb imp or no, screen accuracy imp or no, low profile look imp or no, battery life imp or no....

I just got my A15 3 days ago... am I the only one with extremely high memory usage ? I can't open more than 3 app (like word, powerpoint and google) and I am already reaching 70% ram usage and my computer is lagging asf... I tried to play elden ring an it was impossible to play ^^' I mean my old Lenovo Yoga can open 20 times more applications without lag... Please help

Its not normal. It could happen due to many reasons, my guess is either, 1. U have installed a 3rd party software 2. Virus or infected files 3. Windows problem. Try to reinstall windows From Microsoft's site or call customer care, they will guide you.
