What cool about the Mux switch is basically allows you can switch from High power to low power graphics options without having to reboot and go into the bios to turn on the lower power onboard i7-12650H graphics chip or high power RTX3060 which MANY Laptops currently do. This is a brilliant feature. Also, the ease of upgrading your DDR ram and larger SSD or even a second storage SSD really helps make this more flexible for video editing on the go, mobile livestream on KZbin /Switch all on top of being a great mobile gaming laptop. This is really an awesome Laptop.

Gaming performance is there no doubt, it's pretty lightweight, the cooling system, for once on a gaming laptop, seems promising, the overhaul build quality doesn't seem of feel high end but it's honest and very decent for the price. I'm honestly satisfied especially as I got it discounted at around 1100$ taxes included

Having same laptop but with 3070, running BFV multiplayer ultra settings 100+ solid fps CPU temps hover around 92-93C, GPU around 75-76C even after hours of gaming, I just wished it had Rgb back-light keyboard except this it has everything a gamer would want.

@@henry4401i got around 6 hours just browsing online and watching youtube. Gaming wise i wouldn’t recommend playing on battery cuz it does some work on the battery overtime but you’re looking at 2-3 hours like you stated

Can i buy a second handed 'asus tuf dash f15' (i5 11300h, 6gb rtx 3060) for 550$(2 years old and in good condition from my friend) or should i go with the new 'acer aspire 7'( i5 1240p with gtx 1650) for 670$. I mostly do programming and designing and will only play games occasionally. Since money is a concern for me, can i go with asus tuf (which has a bottleneck cpu due to its 4 core 11300h) so i can save like 100 bucks or should i go for the latter which has the new 12th gen processor with a decent 4gb gtx 1650 ? Is a 2 year old laptop good enough for future use? Pls reply. Thanks in advance!

I might want to buy this Laptop over the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition with the Radeon 6800m series video card. I am a Graphic Designer and I am replacing my 2013 Mac Book with a gaming laptop since it's used by a lot of video editors.

I edit a lot (DaVinci 18)and found working on the the asus easy with minimal rendering lag relative to even my pc (pc has gigabyte 550, 5900x + 3060 ti). I think it's because the components work well in the tuf especially the oem mobo while my pc, the mobo and cpu causes bottlenecking.

@The French Glow so I got my laptop yesterday, I tried out phasmaphobia, and it ran great. But then, after hours of updating the laptop, I tried playing with my oculus Quest 2 with the air link. It immediately stuttered and then crashed a second after stuttering. And I get 400-500mbps with the wifi on wifi 5g. I also tried with a cable and it didn't stutter, but the desktop button wouldn't show my laptop's screen in my head set, and oculus home wasn't apperaing for me. Are there any tips you can give me on how to fix my air link issue? I would greatly appreciate it please and thank you🍀🍀

@@TheFrenchGlow Hey I hope you're doing great! It's been officially 2 weeks since I have had this laptop. It actually runs Hogwarts Legacy amazing!! and other games I have been playing too!!. However, I have been having an issue with the quest 2. I have a desktop pc and I have never had issues with air linking, and using my oculus quest cable link. But when I tried my link cable to make my quest 2 into the rift mode, the virtual desktop icon shows me only a black screen, I can see my mouse cursor, but I have no luck seeing my laptop screen in my quest 2 headset. I have played some pc vr games with my laptop and my headset, but it's a little bit of a struggle because I have to lift my headset up and then sometimes off to do things on my pc. If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I have contacted meta support and asus just to see if they could help out. But Meta wants to send me a replacement rather than helping me fix my issue...

However, I ended up using my old Acer Spin from 2017 instead of my Mac because I couldn't adapt to Mac OS, so I decided to sell my Mac and buy a new Windows laptop. Since my budget is small, I had trouble finding something suitable and affordable. Two days ago, I found a deal - Asus Tuf Dash 15, i5-12450H, 4800MHz DDR5, RTX 3050, 16GB RAM, which comes with a bundle - a backpack and mouse, for 800 pounds. I'm not a gamer, so I hope this configuration will be enough for editing short documentaries. And maybe I will start play games now as well!

Was it for the dash or regular f15? If you are on battery and gaming, battery life will be fast as the gpu draws power but other than that, my battery life is very good.

There's a considerable difference in both processor and gpu capabilities. Rtx 3050 only has 4gb of vram and an i5 will obviously underperform compared to the i7

I ordered this same laptop configuration. I have one question though. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i gen 7 comes with a Intel 12700H (tuf has 12650H) and RTX3060 and 16GB of DDR3 ram for the same cost. Should I cancel my order and buy the Lenovo laptop?

In my opinion I would not. The Lenovo is great for productivity but as the ASUS TUF Dash 15 is more of a gaming laptop. The cooling system is much better imo than the Lenovo. I am currently testing a more entry model Lenovo IdeaPad 3i.

Asus has DDR5 RAM. It is much much better than Lenovo's DDR3. Asus is better.

I bought mine in Best Buy and had been the worst experience ever. The motherboard died before the year, but I wasn’t able to fly to USA before the warranty expired, so Best Buy and Asus didn’t take care of the warranty. Now is technology trash. Also was too noise and get hot very fast. Be careful 😢

Be cautious on the phrase "Military grade". That really just means the bare minimum and at cheap costs too. -usmc vet Other than that I have had this laptop for some months now and it does feel cheaply made but damn does it run fantastic 🤌🏽
