Do you have to clone ? Or can i just use the ssd as the additional storage ? Is it just plug and play with that route ?

Good explaining sir, but is it always blue screen after booting up the laptop?

Hey, great video , keep it up. I've got an FX504 with Intel Optane Memory 16g SSD installed. I want to remove and replace with a 1tb SSD, but when I do I get blue screen, but windows is installed on other SSD, any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I absolutely loved it❤️❤️ I own the same device with 128GB NVME SSD and 1 TB SATA HDD. I now want to upgrade NVME to 1TB. Will WD SN850 1TB, PCIe Gen 4 SSD will be a good choice? Will I be able to use it to its max potential?
@CadillacComputerCenter2 жыл бұрын
You can use it. But gen4 pci-e is not available on this model. Very few laptops are gen4 yet. If the sn750 is cheaper, just go with that.

I'm going to replace the m2 NVME with Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB and take out the HDD. Figured it could boost the performance.

Is the enclosure case required for cloning hdd to nvme? or can I just install the nvme inside the laptop and clone it, then format the hdd after cloning?
@CadillacComputerCenter3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes you can do it that way.

Any problem with Digital License Windows when we clone disk? Thanks
@EDDSWORLDMEGAFAN3 жыл бұрын
No, Windows will only throw a fit when you change motherboards, as the key is bound directly to them after registry. When the hardware IDs dont match it will de-register the key. However: If you simply clone to another hard drive/solid state you will *NOT* encounter this issue, your windows activation will remain just fine. Its only if the motherboard changes do you run into this issue

Hello. so if I don’t clone the SSD what will happen do I have to reinstall all I had on my laptop ?
@CadillacComputerCenter2 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes if you do a clean install of Windows, you will have to reinstall all Apps and Games. Make sure you backup your data in your user account first, if you do this.
