Tuf laptops used to have a serious issues with the hinge where it would become stiff or worse break (like in my case). I am using the tuf fx505dy and after 2 years of using it the plastic part where the hinges were screwed into broke. I am not sure if the newer models still have that problem or not but I would recommend anyone buying tuf laptops to go to service center and loose the hinge a little.

If you don't get above 8hrs of battery life while web browsing with a 90Whr battery and a RYZEN processor, then you are using the laptop wrongly on battery. Most likely your dGPU is on. With the TUF A15 QHD and this 90Whr + 7940HS expect 650 mins of YT video playback in the lowest performance mode.

My tuf a15 arrived last week swapped in ax210 wifi card added a kingston fury renegade ssd and yes i got 5-6hrs doing word and chrome work. 7940hs when disabling the 4060 dgpu has insanely low power consumption. I might switch the 16gb of ram to 32gb 5600mhz later on.@@darkvoid1311

I recently took an asus tuf gaming f17 with 13900h, rtx4060 and a 2k display, the processor and video card heat up to 85-90 in games (the witcher, cyberpunk), the video memory also heats up to the same temperatures. What is the reason? Could it be a defect? The laptop is lifted, nothing interferes with the air.

Use a laptop cooler, use external monitor, go to power options, dont let the cpu to work at 100%, down it to 97% in performance mode ( for maximum vents) and you will get more healthier temperatures with no sacricing a single fps. We have g15 rog strix, doing this, and the temperatures went down from 80-90 to 60-65 and no performance loss.

For pure performance i9 is better. However since you are buying a laptop which will also often work on battery life, R9 absolutely blows i9 out of the water in terms of power efficiency and performance on battery life. Ryzen also gives you much better battery life.

Hi bro! I have a quick question. I have the same PC as yours but with Ryzen 7 7735hs and an NVIDIA rtx 4060 purchased on the official Asus website. I did a benchmark with 3d mark (steel nomad) and I got aberrant results. 1270 dx12 with 12.70 fps!! and it changes when I make updates but nothing conclusive. I did all the updates (Bios, drivers, windows, NVIDIA graphics card) but nothing to do. Do you have a solution please?

If you are really going to play die-hard games with games that demand a lot from the CPU and GPU, then in my opinion a gaming laptop is not the right decision. Last year I bought an MSI laptop (4500€) with which I could play Battlefield 2042 in 4K. The laptop gets so hot and makes so much noise that a desktop is a better option. A high-end gaming laptop is really not worth the money. On the desktop, the CPU and GPU are cooled much better and you get much better FPS results.

@@greenblood6859 Ram brands does not matter. Ram speed, type, latency is important. For ssd, if you are going to make a Raid 0 setup, you need to have same sdd better. Just look the ram code on the laptop so find the same specs, not same manufacturer.

For 1440p gaming choose the RTX 4070 version of this laptop, this means about 25% faster graphics performance. You can even upgrade the memory to faster, 5600 MHz ones (instead of factory installed 4800 Mhz modules), up to even 64 GB (instead of factory stated 32 GB). Memory speed is doing very good for AMD CPUs. You can also use 4 TB SSDs to max out this great laptop.

@cvinay35 Right-click on your display and select display settings. Then go to advance display settings, you can increase it there. Refresh rate automatically changes to 60 when you unplug your charger, and it goes up to 165 when plugged in.

@TECHDROIDSYT Performance is confusing, Rx7600s is better than RTX 4050 in terms of raw performance, but DLSS gives nvdia a huge advantage since many nvdia sponsored games don't support AMD FSR. Also, I want to mention that this gaming laptop has the best battery life of them all. It feels like I'm using an office laptop when on battery. It lasts more than 8+ hours in eco mode with low brightness. Lack of fsr support in some games is the only issue im facing right now. And now im just waiting for FSR 3 to come out.
