These instructions also apply to an ASUS Vivobook S410. The most troublesome step is in removing the channel covering the hinge, requiring pry tools. Thanks for the guidance.

Did you find a good solution in the end regarding the channel?

thank you very much for this, my vivoobook screen keeps glitching and sometimes fully disconnects... pretty sure a cable replacement would fix it so I might try this out!!

Thanks for the video. What was the symptom to identify this is cable issue?
@_Magnuss_11 ай бұрын
most of the time screen flicker or artifacts when u move the display angle. The worse symptom would be an black screen with a functional display out through an external monitor but then it also could be the hole Panel too but to only try the cable Frist would be a good try because of the cost of a hole panel against the extra cost of one cable.

After removing my bevel and working through endless amounts the stickiest glue I discovered I wasn't chiseling away at glue... these dogs glued the entire screen connector to the bevel and I was severing the lcd connection while pulling the bevel away. Yours doesn't appear to have any glue on it at all. Now I'm up for $100 for a new screen. Not your fault, just furious that the manufacturer decided to put gorilla glue on the bevel and lcd connections. I bought my laptop brand new, so no one should have ever been in there and done it. At least now I know where all the screws go.

No problem,apparently this model is rare,especially the one I had,the i5 6200u one,I couldn't find anything about it,so this video was my only solution,well now it has the 16 gigs of ram as I indented and its running Linux,and it's basically new
