Go 15 has a slightly better display than the one found on i3 1220p (SVA vs TN panel) but the RAM is _not_ upgradeable on Go 15. So it's a trade-off.

@Arjuna JEE 2025 (3.0) It's tough to recommend that over Go 15. It depends on the workload. The i3-1115G4 has just two performance cores, Golden Cove cores, each with two threads. Total threads are just 4. So multi-tasking is not going to be best and performance would be slightly underwhelming. The Ryzen 7320u not only has 4 cores 8 threads but also an improved iGPU - the new (although newer one is released) RDNA2 graphics engine, however with only 2 Compute units (or two cores). The performance is quite good also because of the fastest available RAM - the LPDDR5 5500MHz. Although just 8GB. So for most tasks it will suffice. However for running multiple apps or apps that require at least 4-5GB of RAM. That can quickly become a problem. Not an issue for majority people. Just a reminder that RAM cannot be upgraded. 👍

HP offers better build only in their Pavillion series. Correspondingly, Lenovo has the Thinkpad and Thinkbook series to match. All laptops below 50k, look and feel the same. (except maybe Acer, which offers good build with Aspire 5 series and above) So both are good. Whether it be the Fq5007tu or the IdeaPad 3. (Just make sure RAM is upgradable). Also, the i3-1215u is vastly superior to the 5300U. Bonus points if either of them (within the i3-1215u options) also offer a direct PCIe 4.0 lane to the CPU for connecting the blazing fast Gen4 SSD in the future. 3,500mb/s vs 7,000mb/s read speeds. [Edit]: Forgot to add that an IPS display and backlit keyboard will significantly improve usage experience. As for HP, yes it does indeed offer better optimisation, hence better performance with the same hardware, out-of-the-box.

However, the best options under 55k, after hunting for the best deals and applying cards offers, are Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 HP Victus Asus VivoBook Pro 15 Acer Aspire 7 Gaming All, except for Acer, has the Ryzen 5600H and GTX1650 because that is the best configuration for optimum results. I'm no pro by the way, just someone who Googles thoroughly 🙂
