Great review man a week ago I bought the Asus vivobook d513, it is the same as this model but without touch input and 15.6 inches. I have not had the opportunity to test it in games but it is very fast! The Ryzen 5 5500u has a great performance!

I'm very interested in these models with a Ryzen processor instead of Intel because they are so good in terms of value for money But I currently have a T450s with 2 batteries and the external one is the largest one available. That gives me around 6 hours of typical use runtime. In reviews, it would probably be stated at 20 hours. So for this machine being reviewed, how long should one expect it to run per charge assuming standard text editing, browsing, emails as use cases?

I got everything but the fingerprint reader in an ASUS VIVOBook 15" but it came with 16Gigs of 3200Mhz Memory and OMG what a difference Dual channel Memory makes with gaming on that laptop.. Don't mistake me it's not for gaming, BUT you can play games on it some at 1080 and most at 720p and on a small screen like that it doesn't really matter. Like you can get a really good experience at 720p on mid to High settings and turn all the Anti aliasing off and you can play most games AAA games too.. And this is Old Ryzen Tech compared to the 6000 series that's coming out, now.. But either way my point is you need to run Dual channel Memory to get the proper performance out of the 5500U.. Make sure it has dual channel or you can add a second stick to make it dual channel..

I'm thinking about getting the vivobook flip 14, i am at university and i mainly download many pdf files (about 20 to 50 a day) and have them organized on my laptop, hence i want to get a convertible to read those while the device laying down like a book, also i do regular stuff like checking emails and doing text research via browsing, do you think the vivobook would be a good buy for my purposes or could there be a problem because of the many pdf files i would save on it? @@fanimeXDelpro so far so good. Havent encounter any problems yet..Ideapad comes with ryzen 4500 while vivobook comes with ryzen 5500 ... and inspiron & vivobook are cheaper than ideapad. At least at my place. Yours might vary. Personally i think if you use lots of type A connector, you might wanna consider buying usb ports.

Just an update, I have this in 2024 as my primary laptop, this shit runs ghost of tsushima at a stable 40 fps, it ran god of war at 50 fps, gta V at high settings at 70 fps, and all of the batman games at 60fps, this thing is a beast for its price Edit: y'all, it ran cyberpunk and ghost of tsushima on a stable 50 fps, with playable graphics

IMHO the design still isn't on par with macbook or even acer swift laptops. Though durability experiences with acer makes me want to upgrade to asus, it is a shame the design options in the budget market aren't as beautifull as acer... (though they are more powerfull).

I just bought it for like fun public server gaming and personal business and entertainment but you can most definitely play competitive with games, running ultra settings and 8x msaa cs go was running 35-60fps and at 1920x1080 resolution, that’s incredible in my opinion for a 530$ laptop at 1920x1080 resolution and just high settings im getting 60fps, at the settings I run the game for personal preference I average around 110 and get lows of 90 and highs of 150-160, The laptop comes with amd’s software on it and you can go in the settings and check your games and set it to esports mode which will put your games on more priority on too of going in task management and setting the priority to high for the game, its a incredible laptop I would consider it a gaming pc most definitely, only thing I would love more of but I can’t complain because the price is amazing for everything as a whole, but I would love more ssd it would be better for more storage obviously, no complaints though id give it a honest 10/10 honestly price is right plays games on good settings at smooth frames, I haven’t played anything else besides counter strike and a game called Yakuza which runs great on 1920x1080 and low settings, you can change the settings to medium/higher and would still be getting a avg of 40-60 with lows in the upper 40s and highs in the upper 60s, one other thing I would add is after running demanding things for long personal like games you do experience a-lot of noise and heat but the heat really leaves fast when you quit an app or just stop running it for the time being

@@AdityaVenkatesh101 it has a usb c port so yes ill be charging my I phone on fast charge while using it, the computer gets fairly hot I would add so I would highly recommend a fan for the bottom I bought one for 30$ and wow the differences are very noticeable, much less straining I can get roughly 15 solid frames more on all games and about 30fps more then previous without a fan, it helps keep that processor cooler

It should be good. 5500U is a great budget processor. AMD Radeon Graphics is been great, you can play some decent level of games with good resolution / settings.

Yeah it does but on low 30 fps settings by default(Although I changed it 60),heats like hell lol you can cook a whole meal on the left part of the laptop while playing Genshin Impact(I haven't tried any other games yet) but yea it works without lag on my current settings.
