Great video. I'm currently looking at this laptop because Dell went ahead and changed all the XPS's to the new ugly designs that only really look on the 13. I have been using and still use with no slow down or issues my Dell XPS 13 (9310). It has i7-1185g7 w/ 16gb 4267 DDR4 and 512gb SSD. I don't want to upgrade to a different brand of machine because I've had older XPS laptops and my family has always used Dell, However I want a bigger display (i got the UHD touch option) with 120hz and a bigger trackpad with more performance options. I've had this machine since 2020 early Dec and have been using for almost 4 years now and honestly it still holds up essentially the screen and keyboard. The new XPS line up is too expensive (I paid $1380 for a 13'' laptop) for what you get. This machine is so beautiful and looks minimal while having its own thing going on. I don't game on my thin and lights i have a system for that but would you say this a good option for a person like to upgrade to from an older XPS? Thanks in advance.

Nice vid, glad you asked for what I think of the laptop My response s with hopes Asus takes a look at your vid and comments My 7 year old mid range laptop now has 32 gigs of ram, thanks to upgradability, this box cannot be ram upgraded. Base RAM in 2024 is 32 gigs for anyone needing their box relevant for more than a few years, on a non upgradable box 64 gigs is mandatory. Damn, Asus is selling a zen 4 with 40 gigs, about 800 bucks, they need to make 64 gigs at least available, for me, if I can't upgrade in a few years, I'd want to have 124 when I buy in 2024, only considering 64 gigs as base if I'm strapped for the difference in price These soldered SoCs with less than 64 gigs makes them "do not buy till they catch up with the times"is

I like it, especially the port selection. All 16-inch creator laptops should have these ports in my opinion. Replace the SD card reader with a numpad for business laptops to help accountants (Lenovo ThinkPad T16 G3).

I'm torn between getting this and getting the Galaxy Book4 Edge 😩 I'm a big Samsung fan but I don't think I'm ready for ARM's compatibility issues at the moment 💔

I have the Edge and love it. But I'm on the fence with trading it for this Asus because of the Windows Hello camera, the track pad functions, and the better speakers. It's tough, though. I think the Samsung has better glare protection on the screen and a number pad that I love. But I really hate having to move my hand to the fingerprint reader every time I need to autofill my passwords lol. The biggest ARM setback was no Apple Music, but I was able to bypass that by installing through the command center. The heat kinda concerns me with the ASUS. I have never felt even the slightest bit of heat or heard a fan come on in the Samsung. Ugh haha

Its so dumb, meaningless for the general consumer, and these chips aren't even supported by a bunch of AI stuff.

@@LiamMarconsadly it does affect the average consumers prospective though, since I've seen some people at Best buy not even considering a laptop if it isn't marketed as Co-pilot or lacks the dedicated button.

i bought and returned this for a m3pro 16" and don't regret it a single bit. this thing gets WARM, even just doing regular tasks after a couple hours. an absolute deal breaker for me.

thanks for your feedback. I would go back to windows and I was hoping for these new CPU, but I still see a huge gap with apple silicon, and with M4 will be also bigger. I don't like macos, but microsoft it's look a bit confusing: they don't have a clear goal for windows and we see often new stuff that we don't need it and still old piece of the OS not updated (control panel still alive after years). Also windows on ARM is an eternal BETA. In the transition Apple has been clear: just some years and all the pc will be on ARM, and so is it. For work and everyday use I prefer windows, but today a macbook is a better choice all around
