Should've kept the phone compact. Now it's just a crappier version of the ROG phone. no point in it's existence now.

@@govardhanposina17 I highly doubt it'll be bought in droves now. It's a me-too device along with every other ultra phone with no reason for purchase. Especially considering they already have the better equipped ROG phone in their own lineup. I just think it was a bad call. And it doesn't help that Asus's marketing was basically non-existent.

You know. If they just released this as a new ZenFone 11 and not an Ultra it would've been more of a reasonable upgrade. Calling it an ultra with less ultra specs isn't really much of a changer.

What's the audio wired like compared to the Sony 1vi? I'm coming from an LG v60 with its ess sabre quad dac which sounds great with good IEMs.

Does the ASUS Zenfone resist being under heavy storm rain (for example if you're going or returning from work and have to walk outside for at least a dozen minutes) ? I know that the phone has an IP68 protection against dirt and water projection but I recently lost use of my Google Pixel 7, who supposedly had a similar protection index, as I had to walk under a heavy storm rain for around twenty minutes and water got inside the phone, drowning the component, provoking at first damage on the screen (and so I had to bring my phone to a repair shop in urgency, as I needed my phone to show my plane ticket to the airport the day later) and later causing the death of the motherboard, as water seems to have lingered on it and provoked its destruction when I charged my phone.

I wished Asus taken 10 and made a hybrid of the 6 and 10 design and done a Sony with the bezel priced it under 500 and keep the physical scanner

Pwrsoanlly, I believe that ALL smartphone manufacturers should offer a charging passthru feature to simply just power a smartphone when plugged in and being actively used. This phone I would buy simply for thay feature.

Looks good although not premium enough for the high price. Great to finally see them add a telephoto lense, but a periscope would have been preferred to me. Still seems kind of behind the similar priced phones by Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Oneplus, and Google. Maybe a more direct comparison with some of these phones would change my mind. I'll search around.

I ended up getting this bc it would be my first zenfone. Its nice and fine. But yes, it's cheaper than the Rog8. But why wouldn't they offer the 16gb/512gb for the US???

Going against the Ultrafication of all phones, I got recently a Samsung S24. The little beast with killer ergonomics, a desktop modeI and the finally good battery life. It's being such a zen experience to me a pocket/hand friend device. With all the power. I really think thr little one deserves a Vergara video. Everyone in KZbin just goes for the Ultra or the Plus. The mini fits the channel's vibe more.

Cons of that piece of shit, coming from an iPhone: annoying pop-ups all the time, the always on does have more issues than it is working and the Asus service... forget about that one. Finally, it does not lock itself correctly. That piece will be returned within a week and the Zenbook.... follows too. Not worth it.

Goodluck with that. Asus products are garbage. My zenfone 8 flip bricked after one and a half year of use.
