I don't understand, how the ZenFone 3 Deluxe doesnt have a quad hd display. it's the highest end model. 2. i like how glass to the normal zf3 and metal to the deluxe. easy to differentiate. 3. camera sensors much better than in the ZF2's. 4. 1080p screen on a 6.8 inch display? 5. hope it doesn't lack brightness like the ZF2

crApple fans will always be held under the illusion that their phones are the best "because they're Apple". Granted that's not any kind of reason but it's tided the company over quite nicely so far thank you very much, so let's not educate these people and spoil it, hm? As for Asus fans, they're well aware that, other than the camera sensor, Asus pretty much make the phone themSELVES - due to them having many years of technical expertise (or if you're in America "expertize") - as opposed to contracts with Samsung that you're not meant to know about.

I'm not as impressed this year. I'm just not sure that the phones can compete at their price points compared to other and upcoming smartphones like the Oneplus 3. They do look pretty sick though (Especially the limited edition blue deluxe one). Great video, like always. Edit: Too bad the deluxe cost $499, it could have had the same potential as the Zenfone 2 (if not better). : - /

Especially since Asus is about to have to go up against the oneplus 3 and it's expected to fall under $400 with a snapdragon 820 and 4gb of ram. I'm just looking out for Asus. Heck I'm writing to you rn using one of their products.

It's SD 625 which is 8 cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.0ghz.

On power management yes, but general performance i'm not so sure. Since the SD 625 has power saving cores only (A53) it's gonna save up juice compared to the exynos 7850 which has 4 higher performing cores (A57). Though the zenfone 3 cores are clocked higher i believe and probably perform better. And the added benefit the SD 625 gives on video encoding and gpu makes it a better choice.

Ooops confused the exynos 7 line, the one in the J7 is the lower 7850 (8 A53 cores clocked at 1.5ghz)therefore the SD 652 will outperform it. Plus the features on the Zenfone 3 are top of the line.

The battery in the deluxe is far too small. They should have put a 4000mah battery in it. A complete failure by Asus. I'll check out the new Motorola Z line.

It should still be better than the S7 (5.1 inch) where this has 1080p and Samsung has quad hd so you should be able to get slightly better battery life

Ok smartphone manufacturers really need to stop with this making giant phone thing 6.8 inches wtf that's really pushing it,imo 6.0in is the biggest smartphones should go, but how bout instead of making these phones bigger you make them ergonomic I.e better button placement,better speakers, and better screens( i mean current smartphone screens aren't bad but out of the tens of smartphone manufacturers Samsung had and still has the best displays)it seems that these companies just want to make their phones harder to grip properly so a couple weeks after you brought your 800$ phone it slips-falls-breaks,which is a great strategy to make profit.....................but who I'm I just a small grain of sand in a vast ocean!

+Sid Acidic yeah I see where you're coming from on that,smartphones are replacing a lot of devices like cameras, gps's, iPods/MP3,portable gaming devices and even PC's but the everyday usability from a phone the size of a small table will be very poor,in that aspect you'll sacrificing things like size-6.8 inches is small for a tablet but it's too big to fit into a normal pocket but your also sacrificing performance,idk why but the same spec phone compared to the same spec tab( same cpu/gpu ect )the phone usually always cost upwards of 2x more then the table, and the UI is also a big concern it most likely will be more focused on the phone aspected than anything else..........

In my opinion having a such a large screen is a big bonus, it's so much more comfortable and since it can still fit in my pocket I don't have a problem. My current phone is 5 inches and I wish it was 6.8 lol. I just wish they had been making smartphones with such large screens from the beginning, all those years I've had enough of small screens.
