Now that the Zenfone 3 devices have been released in the PH, I suspect that the majority of potential buyers will probably go for the Laser and Max variants as they are more affordable. Yes the main 3 variants are quite pricey but they do have awesome build quality so its unavoidable to price it a bit higher than before but it still remains one of the best bang for the buck smartphones today.

I don't think that there's an improvement with the camera per se. It's just a matter of white balance and/or how the auto-mode processes the image. Zenfone 3 Laser's auto-mode may have been improved, but the results it gave are definitely achievable using Zenfone 2's manual mode.

Hi Josh! After seeing this review, about the Asus zenfone 3 laser, I became a bit surprised and confused on buying that unit. Will you please do give me a better recommendation on what smartphone will I going to purchase because there's still another brand that's convincing me and that is the HUAWEI P9 LITE. Zenfone 3 is better in appearance, chipset, and processor. He mentioned the Z3 32GB/3GB for price comparison - while there is an available 64GB/4GB for Zenfone 3(price will be different). Rear camera for Z3 is also better than Z3L - 16MP vs. 13MP. Hope this helps :) cheers!

The camera on the Laser is much better but at P9,990 you can already get the Vivo V3, and it's better all around than the two Zenfones.

as if the zenfone series ever had a good android version update plan. at least xiaomi still provide monthly updates and fixes if the android version doesn't get updated. with asus, good luck on getting any fixes or new features they abandon the phone to support the newer ones.
