Asus ZenFone 3 Screen Repair, Teardown and Reassemble Guide Steps:
Step 1
Power down your Asus smartphone.
Step 2 (Asus ZenFone 3 SIM card and microSD Card Tray)
Eject the SIM card and microSD Card Tray.
Step 3 (Asus ZenFone 3 Rear Glass Panel)
The ZenFone 3 rear glass panel is glued on solidly and is a tight fit within the narrow bezel. Apply heat to soften the adhesive.
With the precision knife create enough space to insert a playing card.
Attack the adhesive and carefully dislodge the 2.5D corning gorilla glass rear panel from the phone.
Step 4 (Asus ZenFone 3 Exterior Midframe, Fingerprint Sensor, and Loudspeaker)
Remove the following 19 Phillips screws.
Detach the fingerprint sensor cable and signal cable from the ZenFone 3 motherboard.
Use the spudger to pry up the plastic exterior midframe. It includes the ZenFone 3 fingerprint sensor and rear camera lens cover.
Extricate the Asus ZenFone 3 loudspeaker module from the bottom of the phone.
Step 5 (Asus ZenFone 3 USB-C Port/Daughterboard, Signal Cable, and Vibrator)
Detach the ZenFone 3 battery connector from the motherboard.
Extract the signal cable from the side of the interior midframe.
Peel up the piece of Kaptan tape and disconnect the display cable from the daughterboard.
Detach the interconnect cable.
Remove the following Phillips screw.
Remove the daughterboard from the Asus phone. It includes the Zenfone 3 USB-C port, primary microphone, vibrator, spring contacts, and some control hardware.
Step 6 (Asus ZenFone 3 Battery)
Locate the two peel-to-remove adhesive tabs at the bottom of the ZenFone 3 battery. Grab the first tab and try to keep the adhesive strip flat and wide.
Slowly and gently pull each strip up and away from the Asus smartphone. The strips will stretch to many times the length of the battery- keep pulling until they come out from between the battery and the midframe.
And just like that, out pops the 3,000 milliampere-hour (mAh), 3.85-volt Asus ZenFone 3 battery.
Step 7 (Asus ZenFone 3 Motherboard)
Disconnect the bevy of cables from the Asus ZenFone 3 motherboard.
Remove the following 3 Phillips screws.
Carefully free the motherboard from the gob of thermal paste securing it to the Asus phone.
Step 8 (Asus ZenFone 3 Front-Facing Camera)
Detach and remove the 8-megapixel ZenFone 3 front-facing selfie camera from the motherboard.
Step 9 (Asus ZenFone 3 Headphone Jack and Microphone Assembly, Earpiece Speaker, Rear-Facing Camera, and Power and Volume Buttons Cable)
Remove the following Phillips screw.
With the tweezers in hand, pry the 3.5mm headphone jack and microphone assembly up and away from the chassis.
Tweeze out the spring-contact-connected ZenFone 3 earpiece speaker.
Remove the 16-megapixel Asus ZenFone 3 rear-facing camera with the latest Sony IMX298 sensor.
Step 10 (Asus ZenFone 3 Display Assembly)
Peel the digitizer cable up from the Asus midframe.
Begin to free the 5.5” ZenFone 3 display assembly by using the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing it to the interior midframe.
With the precision knife create enough space to insert a playing card.
Use the playing card to attack the sticky adhesive. Take your time and apply additional heat as needed.
Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the display’s cables when decoupling the Asus ZenFone 3 screen from the frame.
* To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

This video is very helpful.

If you go to attempt this be careful of the 3.5mm jack that has the top mic attached - they have it glued in place with a really good bond - I sheared the mic ribbon off. I moved onto the earpiece speaker - it does not "pop" out like it shows in the video. The upper piece does which has 2 copper wires that are probably 28 gauge and if you tug on it ever so slightly, they break. My $70 repair turned into a $200 repair. I decided to trash the phone and bought a new one because it was just a set of dominoes, one thing after another. Another thing that doesn't show in these videos are the gaskets around the flash and IR lenses - best to replace them or you'll fine a ton of dust inside.

I had my Zenfone 3 dropped from a 3-story building and the front glass shattered and the frame bent a little. Phone was still functional, touch and everything but looked unpleasant. Decided to buy a whole front cover which includes the frame and LCD. I did damage my earpiece by breaking the copper wires x_x and I also damaged my battery while taking it out. I'm now replacing my battery but I think it was a pretty strong phone for only having such minimum damage from a high fall and still functioning.

I dropped my asus zenfone 3 max from 1 and half feet and the screen shattered,2 weeks old the phone is,ill never purchase another one, there so fragile,i guess cheap phones are made of shit material, its suppose to have guerrilla glass,i doubt it,that was the first drop on a wooden floor.

Just like you, I had it for only 2 weeks and it fell from my pocket from a mere 6 inches (I was sitting in the stairs of the balcony) and the glass shattered. I admit that I did not have a bumper (I should have waited for the bumper to arrive before using the phone I guess) but nonetheless, I really did not expect the screen to shatter so easily. This phone is extremely slippery and the glass easily breaks. I would not recommend using it without a bumper.

where can I find LCD for this model ZS570KL???

Hi, i just got it today for my zenfone 3 deluxe 5,7". I found it in Germany at ipc-computer.de. The gold version cost actually 159,00 €. You have to look for the serial number to get the correspondent one. The LCD is combined with the glass itself. Be careful with different adhesive glues in case you must/want to change the battery at any time. Good luck
