Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra Full Review + Camera & Gaming Test

Here in Manila I got mine yesterday at Voice Solutions in Theater Mall, Greenhills. So far, they are the cheapest that I found with the Asus warranty. I got mine for P29,432. If you go to the mall, the SRP is P32,995. I could really say that it was worth the premium price I paid for it. Before I bought it, I was so hesitant to pay for more than 25k for it. So, I settled for the Xiaomi Mi Max. A day after having the Mi Max I still wanted to buy the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra. I thought the Mi Max was big enough already but I wanted a much bigger one. The 6.8" size of the Ultra is just perfect for me. It's really the size that I want for a "phablet." Watching KZbin & Netflix on the Ultra is a such a treat. The sound quality of the speakers is much better than all the gadgets (iphone, samsung tablet, ipad) I owned before. The only downside I have noticed with the zenfone 3 Ultra is the camera on lowlight. It's not as good as my LG V10 camera and my Iphone 6 Plus. But, It's not a big deal for me because I am not using it as my main camera phone. I still prefer my LG V10 for all my photo requirements. If you really like the social media, You Tube and movies, this phablet is really a must-have for you. After spending almost 15k for the Mimax, I have no regrets spending another almost 30k for the Zenfone 3 Ultra. It was really the phone I wanted when I first saw it on photo and video months ago. I'm glad I really pushed for it. Now, my techie side is very much satisfied with this phablet. Next obsession will be the LG V20

Awesome battery life! I never had an android gadget before that the battery lasted more than a day. I'm heavy on KZbin, Netflix and social media.

No way that battery life is better in ULTRA than MI MAX.

I did not say that the battery life of ULTRA is better than MI MAX. I just said compared to the other android gadgets I used before, ULTRA's battery lasted more than a day on me. With regards to the MI MAX, the battery lasted a bit longer compared to ULTRA.

I am going to buy it by the end of September from my cousin who works at Asus so I could get a little discount. I saw this damn phone and I really fell in love! I am using a Lumia 640 XL along with a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 as my daily drivers and I should say, the size of this device is perfect! I can use it without having any issue with its size. It's really expensive but I bet it will be worth my money. 😊

Bought this 1 month ago, EXCELLENT media phone - superb sound. It has similar post processing capabilities like in TVs, to make image clearer and smoother. Camera is comparable to previous gen Samsung and Apple, but does better in good lighting due to higher megapixel. It however has some focusing problems, particularly at near objects at times though.

The Zenfone 3 Ultra will always have a special place in my heart. I was supposed to buy it yesterday but LG has a pre order offer for the V20. The devices are on par with the price considering the Asus device is less powerful. I went for the LG's flagship instead. I know I have made the right choice but I still love the Zenfone 3 Ultra. Maybe next year if the successor to the V20 is not that much of an upgrade and Asus will produce a very interesting phablet like the Zenfone 3 Ultra then I might go for it! I lived in the USA. Does any You Tubers out there knows where or which online website you can recommend to buy this ASUS ZU680KL in a Brand new retail condition with the tight clear plastic wrapper still on it and the dealer sticker seal are without any tampering? The reason I asked is I have bought one from amazon and another one from ebay . Both International units were without plastics wrapper & the sticker seal was broken. I was told by seller each unit arrives to the US stores from ASUS they have to open the box to inspect and make sure it works before is sold but I suspected it was used or refurbished unit. Also because the charging cables were not even rolled up and tight up too. As if it was used. I tried to accept the claim from seller. However I have bought an ASUS laptop recently from a US ASUS location but it was shipped to me with the manufacturer's Sticker seal intact on the box without tempering. (US Asus do not sell this model ZU680KL). Therefore is hard for me to believe the Seller's claimed. Furthermore I returned both units to the seller but lost 10% restocking fee each time. Pls You Tubers any recommendation where to buy this phone? TQ

Nope, Zenfone 3 Ultra is miles better. You should add Mate 8 on the choices.

No problems! For the price, I think they quoted the 3GB version with 32GB storage. This one has 4+64GB

Hm, well. Thanks for your reply. Do slow motion if there is only one way that is 1/4x setting? Add some models as 1/3x, 1/2x, maybe it has to be 1/25x and 2x for slow motion. If similar 240 fps ... To change the shutter speed. By the way, does the screen flash for the front camera? :)
