Hawaii 1989-1995 played it like it was number one every day. Waikiki every car was playing that or Bobby brown with full base, had no noise laws back then. I think they're referring to the cover released a few years later by the Swedish band Ace of Base. Ace of Base had a pop hit with "Don't Turn Around" in the mid 90s. However, I do prefer Aswad's version also.
