I want to take the time to thank you. I really appreciated your videos. While taking the test, I could literally hear your voice reading the questions and the breakdown of the answers. It was my third time taking the test. I PASSED!!!! it was never whether I knew the information or not, it was reading and understanding what is being asked! Thank you so very much for the help.

I began watching your most recent similar videos late last year and I was able to answer all of these correctly. Before you begin working through the question, I pause the video and talk my way through it i.e., where am I in the helping process?, what's the priority question?,"yes, I may do this but is it the FIRST/MOST IMPORTANT thing to do?", and of course go in order when deciding on an answer, don't skip around 🥰Outside of knowing the content and COE, you have definitely helped me understand how to break down and answer the questions. Even when I'm studying on pocket prep! This has my confidence through the roof about this exam!! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

I have been studying for a year now and never looked at it the way you explained it. You broke it down so simple I can kick myself for not knowing this earlier in my study. Can you also do some on when to refer ? THANK YOU!!!
@savvysocialworkerexamprep1602 жыл бұрын
Refer whenever the client's priority issue is outside of the scope of services that you provide. Ie., If you work in a mental health agency, you will refer out for medical or substance abuse issues.

For the last question, those are also symptoms of withdrawal (in real life), since the CT is right in front of us and displays withdrawal symptoms wouldn't we ask about drug use 1st and then ask them to get the medical consultation?

Hello i started studying for my bachelors licencing exam few days ago I am studying from this book called "Social work aswb bachelors exam guide" by dawn apgar do you think its good? i also try to watch your videos to practise some questions at the end of each studying session. In this video i dont understand why the correct answer for the father thats on a rambage is to assess first and not ask the son to step out. Wouldnt it be easier if the son stepped out and got the father to calm down faster ?
@savvysocialworkerexamprep1602 жыл бұрын
Dawn Apgar is a great resource. In this scenario, it doesn't imply that the son is in any danger. He's just being cursed at (as of now). Asking the son to step out is not the most important thing to do to address the potential safety issue since the client is throwing and breaking stuff. We need to ensure that the client, and others in the home will be safe after the SW leaves since the client's behaviors are the priority issue.

For the first questions, I understand this answer. However, in watching your videos I realize as you have said you pick your answer based on what you see as the presenting problem. I saw the eviction as the presenting problem. But I realize that it’s wrong because of the safety issue?

Second question with the hospice worker. The son is being cursed that anger towards the sun why was not the first thing we have a son step out to remove maybe whatever trigger is going on an anger that’s happening.
