Asylum seeker claims in Canada reach record high

With Canada's recent population surge being mostly tied to immigration, the federal government has made some policy changes to try to crack down on how people enter Canada.
The influx of migrants has become one of the thorniest political issues between Ottawa and the provinces.
Mackenzie Gray explains how those changes haven't stopped asylum seeker claims from reaching record highs and why those numbers could grow if former U.S. president Donald Trump returns to the White House.

Unless you have specific coorperation between USA-Canada-Mexico and south American countries ( as sort of 5" eyes" agreement") to identify migrants flying into south america then this will never work. As you can see from the video, a number of these Asylum seekers are from afganistan, africa, the middle east. They are FLYING into south american airports before heading up from to Canada. They need to be vetting of anyone stepping of a plane from these areas via Biometrics and imposing restrictions on getting into these countries in the first place. This way if they do make there way up and claim asylum they cant be identified and sent back.
