I have been a Letter Carrier for 20 years now. Thank you for holding this man accountable. His only concern is saving money. The Postal Service is exactly that....a service to the American people. He is a slash and burn businessman and has demonstrated that philosophy with his own company XPO Logistics which coincidentally does business with us. We are understaffed, under appreciated and overworked. We are being led by incompetent, inexperienced, and disrespectful management on all levels from the workroom floor to Washington D.C.

I think his goal is to destroy postal service in order to privatize it, he's no where near customer service satisfaction. He already did this to us in South East Idaho. They moved the distribution center in Pocatello, out of state to Salt Lake City, Utah. Local mail used to take 2 to 3 days turn around and now takes 12 days. Cross town mail that used to stay in house in Idaho Falls, now travels 210 miles each direction before being delivered. How efficient is that?

I live in northern Nevada. My father used yo get his medications from the VA hospital in Reno then next day normally. With his plan would take over a week. One might watch clips of this hearing and get the impression that DeJoy is an incompetent administrator who doesn't know what he's doing. However, he knows exactly what he was hired to do by think tanks and private interest groups: Sabotage the day to day operations of an essential public service so that people and businesses can't depend on it, lose faith in public services in general, and instead switch to use private services like the one he has a large financial stake in. The public sector should not be run like a business, it has different obligations, namely to every member of the public, not to extract wealth for a small group of privileged shareholders. Business administrators like DeJoy have spent their careers championing the efficacy of private enterprise, where they can control the narrative of its supposed efficiency and savings through PR campaigns and corporate propaganda where they are incentivized to exaggerate and obfuscate the truth, with no oversight except by the unaccountable board members they work for.

No, I live in Nevada and she is pronouncing it correctly. You won't find anyone who lives here, from the Governor to the local newscasters to the every day residents, pronouncing it -ah-. The origin of the word is not relevant, as we are not a state in Spain or Mexico. Los Angeles is also pronounced incorrectly if they were in a Spanish speaking country, but they are not and neither are we, so those rules don't apply.
