@@kenbrownfield6584 Yes, he can. But it must be by the USPS Board of Directors, appointed by trump and now by Biden. I believe the board members must represent both major parties equally. But for some reason, Biden has yet to fully replace members who are within his discretion. I've signed numerous petitions urging this to be done asap. It hasn't seemed to have much effect. But I believe President Biden can complete the appointment of his new board members (subject to Senate approval, I think) and urge them to replace DeJoy. This has dragged on for years, during which time the USPS is being run into the ground by DeJoy who claims he's trying to make it profitable and cut the billions in losses from past years. Ah, but the USPS is not a private business and should not have to operate as a fully profitable business since it is a service for all Americans.

I have been a Letter Carrier for 20 years now. Thank you for holding this man accountable. His only concern is saving money. The Postal Service is exactly that....a service to the American people. He is a slash and burn businessman and has demonstrated that philosophy with his own company XPO Logistics which coincidentally does business with us. We are understaffed, under appreciated and overworked. We are being led by incompetent, inexperienced, and disrespectful management on all levels from the workroom floor to Washington D.C.

DeJoy wants to privatize postal services because he wants his own company XPO Logistics to take over. Remember when DeJoy trashed millions of dollars in postal equipment? XPO Logistics has a multimillion dollar contract to swoop in with the new equipment and data software. You can bet he’s harvesting voter data, too.

Can we start a petition? You'd have 100's of 1,000s - to fire DeJoy. Get him out! I live in rural Virginia, people complain about the service - but I feel for the workers whom I personally speak to. They're overworked, underpaid - disregarded. Speak on Senator Welch and Bernie!

I've signed at least a dozen petitions over the last two years from various major organizations like Common Cause. It's brought almost no significant benefit, though the latest news was that DeJoy has promised not to institute the delivery slow-downs until after the election after pressure on him to at least delay his intended move to further slow service as part of the campaign to supposedly make the USPS more profitable.

Dejoy wants to close as many post offices as possible to save money. He wants carriers from several cities all housed under one unit. That's his Delivering For America plan. I was moved from my office last year. It's amazing nobody is doing anything to stop it. The flooding was Dejoy's wet dream. Another office he could close to no longer provide services.

I'm a former postal worker who just retired at the end of 2023, and what Dejoy has done to the postal service service is embarrassing. There is no quality of service at all, I wouldn't recognize it from when I started when we actually cared about the customer. Utterly disgraceful.

I still care about doing a good job there every day. What this goon is doing is consolidating post offices.. jamming us into offices that are severely lacking space to even do your job efficiently! When it’s impossible to be efficient, that’s when the mistakes are made. Prioritizing Amazon is a joke as well.

10 year carrier here. I’m echoing others here. It is a service! Not a business! We can’t strike. But I wish the states could file a suit against the PMG. Get him out! He has done nothing to improve the service.

Yes, I live in Manhattan and after Dejoy started it takes two days to deliver a letter from the East Side to the West Side. It's literally a 20 minute walk.

This problem extends way beyond Vermont. There are constant rerouting between hubs that add 2-3 weeks of unnecessary package looping between states. This affects small businesses in every state who depend on First Class mail rates and services. What once was 4-5 day delivery times are now WEEKS.

DeJoy has been a great success… At destroying the Postal Service, efficiency and fast delivery. A wonderful job by dismantling 770+ sorting machines that each sorted 1 million pieces of mail per hour! Excellent job at causing major delays and lost mail across the US after centuries of no problems. WTF are some of our highest politicians, including Joe Biden going to get DeJoy removed and put in prison after he is sentenced for hundreds of counts of obstruction of the male system? When will he be punished? His business should be closed down and the assets sold to compensate the USPS for all the damages and destruction. He has inflicted.

Our routes have been overwhelmed for over 6 years! They keep doing mail counts and not adjusting routes. Overworking carriers who are getting burned out and quitting. The last mail counts was manipulated to be less than what the numbers are actually. That effort caused delays for millions of customers all in an effort to screw carriers over. The union leaders have been bought off. Management is draconian and Machiavellian. The workers are losing. The postal customer is losing. Dejoy is corrupt. Dejoy has to go!!!!

Prioritizing the Amazon packages or parcels of any kind are prioritized across the country in the USPS. Carriers are running late, orders are given by management to stop delivering mail and get the scannables ie( parcels) delivered and bring the undelivered mail back to office. They will not allow OT if they can get away with it, for whatever reason across the board in many post office facilities OT is being cut dramatically, they are even over hiring so they can get away with not paying overtime to the workers. There’s a bit of DeJoys Delivering for America plan for you.

We cant rely on postal service delivery since DeJoy took out the sorting machines and began changing policies and procedures. We don't use USPS for anything important any more. De Joy did talk about envisioning people using private delivery services like Fed-ex, UPS, and courier services rather than the USPS early on.

Committee decides on who is the postmaster general, Joe Biden cannot directly change it, but after three years, you would think he would have appointed the right people on the committee to get rid of DeJoy who was a clear-cut case of obstruction of the Mail system to stop mail-in votes so that Donald Trump would have a better chance of winning. Three years later and nothing has happened? Don’t even think about Merrick Garland because he is a member of the Federalist Society which is where all six right wing justices on the Supreme Court came from… Waiting 22 months to appoint Jack Smith, to oversee all investigations into the criminal activities of Trump? Because he convinced Biden that he has a plan and the Postal Service will go under if anyone touches it before DeJoy is done screwing America over. Do you want "privatization?" That alone scares most people into compliance and it's thrown around liberally in the Post Office to let management do whatever they want - which, BTW, is to fully corporatize to match the Amazon business model. Hire people at a little over 20 bucks, then get rid of them after 9 months, when they realize that no amount of hard work will get them ahead. That's true of the Post Office too, BTW, but for an entirely different reason.

As this is my career, one which is one of the leading employers in the country, and leading employer for veterans in the country, we are all afraid of the deconstruction of a job we all take pride in! Postal employees provide a SERVICE as a government entity for the American people. This is an intentional act of deconstruction and we as the service providers are helpless! Bring in congress!!

I would "never" mail a ballot through the post office. This election is too important. Despite what they say the customer service is awful. When calling with a concern, the supervisors "never" respond. They appear to be understaffed. They need to hire more employees, start work earlier so that mail can be delivered by 5pm.

I've lost hundreds of dollars with lost and damaged mail. I've sent letters for claims only to be denied and ran bavk through the automated messages. I gave up trying and just thought to myself that every time i ship something, it's going to be a gamble.

As an employee, Dejoy is purposely destroying usps from the inside by numerous strategies. One example is carriers do not even have vehicles to deliver the mail. A few of those vehicles are new but most are broken down old, old vehicles.

As a postal service employee what dejoy has done is great. On top of that how can we expect to run a deficit every year. Since Dejoy took over we have seen that the 10 year plan is working. The real problem is managers and above get bonuses amounting to $350m a year and the inability to fire employees that don’t come to work. Thanks union for keeping last workers.
