Your not supposed to shampoo the hair until 48 hours later. When doing the perm it can get wet.

Zulma Zapata A perm should not dry until the solution and neutralizer has been rinsed out. And until the rods have been taken out. If you let the hair dry while the rods are still are on the hair it will cause serious damage.
